Evening all ... ds had another good day at school today, its sooo nice to pick him up and not feel stressed
I spent £20 on a voucher for my bil's birthday today and went round after work to drop it off. Ds took a penny out of his moneybox to give to him too. I explained he didnt need to as I had bought a gift from us both but he was insistent he wanted to give him one of his pennies ... I was sooooo proud of him, I know its only a little thing but it was so lovely, especially knowing how hard he had to work at school to get the pennies in the first place
Other than that £20 I haven't spent any more money today :j
I have also just moved £5 from my lightspeed account into paypal  so that should arrive there in a few days
I've already had a bath and put my pj's on tonight (teach me to get up so early, I'm knackered tonight lol), and now I'm just gonna go and look for the details of my mobile contract as I think I should be sending off one of the bills soon to claim some cashbackMortgage Total: £51,549 / £75,000

Well done on everything BB. You are really organised and doing so well.
Can I just ask - when you talk about the accounts you keep you electric, water money in etc , are they all seperate bank accounts or one of those bank accounts that you can have several 'pots' in one account.
Hope that makes sense?

I have an online savings account and it lets you have 10 separate "pots" under the one account and you can call them whatever you like, so when I log in I can see a page with all my balances on, and it reads like .....
Mortgage pot ..... £
Water pot ...... £
Car tax savings .... £
Xmas fund .......... £
Electric pot ..... £
I love it as I can see exactly how much I have got put awayfor each different thing at any one time. I can change the names as much as I like too, so for example, yesterday I changed the electric one (as I shouldnt need that anymore as its direct debit now) to "ds birthday party fund" as I thought I'd better start putting some away for that in the summer.
I ould def recommend getting one of these types of accounts, I couldn't be anywhere near as organised if I didn't have itHope that helps!!

Hello! Must admit I've been a lurker too and think your organisational skills are v impressive! I'm a AQA-er as well (10 months or so now) and a couple of months ago set myself a goal of so many questions a week, seems to be the best incentive. Its a nice feeling when the money is paid into my account as I can think all the time researching the questions was worth it!Make £10 a day challenge - £21.00/£290

Yay its the weekend :j :j :j Just got home from ds swimming lesson, today the other little girl in his class didn't turn up so he had an individual lesson and it only cost me about £4.50
(Very mse!!)
He had another good day at school today which I'm very pleased about. I can see quite a difference in him at home over the last couple of days too since he's been in the other class, and they have said they're going to leave him there a bit longer, so hopefully this will continue
He has a birthday party tomorrow afternoon and then he's spending sunday with his dad. I'm just hoping for a chilled lazy weekend
Today I have spent £2.50 on lunch, £7 in tesco (£5 on buckaroo for tomorrows party, £1 on 2 pretty cake tins and £1 on a kiddie baking set) and £60 on next terms swimming lessons (ex-mil sent me £50 towards this), and £2.05 on sweeties after swimmingMortgage Total: £51,549 / £75,000
