Hi benben, glad you enjoyed the panot! As for the £10 in 20ps, well, pay it off whereever it gives you the most satisfaction - if that is off the mortgage, then that is fine!

I still can't decide Hypno ... the mortgage would give me the most satisfatcion but the next account will niggle me and i'd like to pay that off asap  (Note to self: really must avoid the online sale next time :o )

Ds woke up at 6 this morning and I have just dragged myself out of bed ... I protested as long as I could but he was jumping up and down on my bed and I had to give in in the end  We are off to church in a bit, I'm not really a chucrhy person but his class are involved with the service today, he's had to learn the lines "I like the sandpit" and "I'm good at p.e.", except he keeps changing it to "I'm good at p.e. but the teacher has to help me on the climbing frame cos I get stuck!"

Once we've done that we have to go and do a mystery shop then we can come home and have a lazy sunday ;) If the weathers okay we may go for a walk down the beach later but otherwise it'll be an indoors day :D

Beware of this apparently minor alteration, BBaM, it could be a long, slippery slope to stardom.

I've just finished Peter Kay's autobiography and in it, he tells of the time he was picked to play the innkeeper in the school nativity play. His only line was to say "Sorry, there's no room at the inn" when Joseph and Mary come calling but when it came to the night's performance, he added his own slant on it, saying "Yes, ensuite room okay with a full English?"....:D

Postie brought me my mortgage statement today ... was lovely, I was so excited even though I knew almost to the penny all the figures on it :D Since I moved in June I have reduced my mortgage from £60k to just under £56k and have cut nearly 3.5 years off it :j :j Its so nice to see it in black and white though ;):D

I went and saw ds teacher tonight and she was lovely although I'm still very worried about his behaviour. She thinks he is struggling to settle in and make friends and feels out of his depth and that is why he's behaving like he is. I hate it though, I so desperately want to prove I can bring him up on my own and feel like its a reflection on me :o:o

Today I took a packed lunch so didn't spend anything at work but after school I took ds to the soft-play centre as they were doing free entry today for members (normally about £4 I think), but I did buy myself some chips while we were there (£2).

  • Well done BenBen on doing so well with the mortgage overpayments. You have paid off a reasonable chunk since June!

I admit that I don't know much about these things but perhaps it is just a phase with your DS. Try not to worry about it too much although I am sure that is easier said than done. You appear to be doing a wonderful job bringing him up so you shouldn't feel like it is a reflection on you!

Hi Benben - sorry to hear about the problems with DS - I too am sure it's only a phase, but that doesn't really help,eh? Was there anything the teacher said you could do?

Hope you're having a good day.

The teacher said to just keep praising the good behaviour and discussing making "good choices" ... easier said than done when he's hitting you :o

Do you remember the email I ent m&s about a week ago ... well there website says they reply within 24 hours ... today I received an automated reply saying they have refunded me £5.32 for the Mr Men pj's as they were out of stock so they couldn't send them. Thats all well and good but I did received the pj's (2 pairs as ordered and they cost £3 each  ) but they have made no mention of the other 2 items they charged me for that I didn't recieve or the delivery charge they charged me for that they shouldn't have ... I can feel another email coming on, I'm getting seriously fed up with their service now

I've spent £3.20 today on bread, chicken goujons and choccy :o:o I took packed lunch again today so didn't spend anything at work. Nothing much else to report at the moment, oh yeah, I got an email from AQA yesterday saying I will be removed due to inactivity ... I emailed back my senior researcher and explained I've been avoiding it cos of the last review not being very good and she said its fine, just carry on! So if ds goes to bed on time tonight I might try and get back on there and get some questions done ;):D
