lol Hypno ... I do keep going and looking at it though just cos I very rarely see the bottom of it ;):D

Postie has just brought me a letter from tax credits and they are increasing my payments because of my childcare costs (breakfast club and after school club), and basically the increase will mean I only need to pay £2 a month for his childcare  I am going to have to figure out my accounts again though as I have had to pay the costs upfront so I need to figure it all out again  :D

I've just returned from my trip to the farm shop ... I love it, I'm converted ;):D

Alongside the car park are loads of chickens and pigs running round like loonies, clearly not the kinds of chickens Mr Oliver was horryifying us all with last night ;) Inside the shop it was heaving, absolutley barmy ... I was tempted to stop off at Tesco on the way back and see if they were empty in there as it appeared like a mass exodus of people had gone off to discover the farm shop :D

I spent £8.27 and for that I got:
    • 4 pork and apple sausages
    • a pack of beef mince (0.385kg)
    • a pack of cooked roast beef (o.18kg)
    • a pack of smoked ham (0.155kg)
    • half a cucumber
    • a red pepper
    • 4 potatoes
    • broccolli
    • 1/4 green cabbage
    • sprouts
    • 4 carrotts
    • 6 free range large eggs
I am very pleased with it all, especially the fact that I could buy the exact number of sausages / chops etc that I want ... they're all laid out in trays and you serve yourself. As a single parent with a fussy eating 4 year old and no space for a freezer, I get fed up buying big packs of meat and chucking half of it away

I had a look on Tescos website and their pack of 6 free range eggs are £1.28 ... I paid 72p :T :T So people ... go check out your local farm shops!!!! :D:D

  • We only have one locally and it's a bit of a rip off. My Mam makes cakes for there which they sell at exortionate prices. I think I need a "proper" farm shop, not a one that is just out to make a huge profit.

We are going to look into buying veg locally though, and the place I'm thinking of sells free range eggs. I think we pay £1.28 for 6 at Asda so it might work out cheaper.

I've got several near where I am. I go to three of them which I consider to be good value for money (not cheap, but a couple are) - and another 3 I avoid like the plague. They're expensive, don't selling much local stuff and are just like mini-supermarkets.

What's your eggs coming out at? Not far from me they're £1.50 a doz - though take your own carton.

There's a website that you just put your postcode into and they tell you if organic boxes are delivered in your area, free range stuff - it's www.freerangereview.com there's not many places for meat near me but there are two local organic veggie box schemes. might work for you.

Morning everyone!! Last night I id my 2 mystery shops which were dead easy and earned me £20  Then I went out with a friend for a drink but the pub was packed cos of the footie so we went round her mum and dads house which was lovely as I haven't seen them for years (they've just moved back here too). All in all I spent £2.50 :D

Today I'm going shopping with the same friend, she got some vouchers for xmas that she wants to spend, just have to try not to spend too much myself:rolleyes: I've been good so far this year and have avoided the sales as much as possible so this will be a bit of a test :o:o

Just done a survey for 50p and got 5 piggypoints for a click so that my start towards todays January challenge figure :D Off now to make scrambled egg with my lovely free range eggs ;)

Back from shopping, I thinkI did pretty well ... I bought 2 pairs of trousers (both the same) which are very similar to a pair I already have but I live in them for work and they were reduced to £5 each  I also bought a top (£2.50) and a pair of trousers (£1.90) for a friends newborn baby in Benetton, a neklace and a bracelt (£4.40) in tesco sale and 2 coffees (£3.70), so altogether I spent £19 which could have been mcuh much worse as I saw lots of lovely things I liked but I resisted ;):D

You weren't naked in the shop though, were you??

I think it would take more than the joint forces of Trinny, Susannah and Gok to sort me out. Nothing and I mean NOTHING could make me look good naked at the moment (apart from a complete blackout!)
