Congrat's on the mortgage Benben, that's quite some achievement!
I also wanted to thank you (again!), as it was you that inspired me to apply for AQA, having seen your success, and today I received my acceptance email! So thank you ever so much, you've been a huge motivation to me so far

I've been watching some of the channel 4 programmes this week about food and am now watching "Supersize me" ... I haven't seen it before and it is fantastic!! I am going to look into our local farm shop this weekend, I think this could become another focus for me ... its all very well saving pennies to provide a stable background for ds but I also need to provide a good diet too :rolleyes:Mortgage Total: £51,549 / £75,000

I think you're right about the food benben. I was looking tonight at how if I wanted I could live off cheap tinned food, but then that wouldn't be very healthy. Congrats on your mortgage payments, that's great
. I'm looking forward to the day I can start overpaying, I'm on a 2 year fixed at the moment so can't.

Congratulations on the overpayments, and the reduction in the balance! I worked out my total overpayments on the mortage save me about a tenner a month! Tiny amount of money for the amount I've overpaid, but it has to be done anyway, as my endowment policy won't cover the mortgage at the end. Food.... my downfall is eating late at night, tho I do struggle with portion size occasionally... I'll be interested to know what your farm shop turns up.2023: the year I get to buy a car0

hello all ... another fairly cheap day for me, I spent £2.50 on lunch and £1 on bread on the way home and £1 for the big issue seller as I felt sorry for her in the rain ... will post more later but ds wants a splish-splash now, back in a bit xMortgage Total: £51,549 / £75,000

Morning, ds is off to his dads in a bit and I don't have much lined up this weekend ... the flat is actually fairly tidy and clean for a change and my ironing basket is still empty :j :j I do need to go food shopping this weekend and I could do with a trip to the tip to get rid of a loads of stuff thats piled up in the garage. I've also got to go to the cinema tonight which should bung £20 into the January challenge pot
I might try and get more ebaying done today or some aqa'ing, I haven't done any for changes as I'm scared I'll fail my next review
I might have to go and make an up-to-date list of silly jobs that need doing and never get done, and then I might be able to cross a couple off this weekend :rolleyes:Mortgage Total: £51,549 / £75,000
