I decided that some fresh air would do ds good, so we wrapped up warm and went off to a local country park, it was lovely, a bit chilly but really nice and I'm glad we went. I am going to buy an annual car park pass next time we go, it costs £40 for unlimited usage for the year or £4.50 per visit otherwise. It works out at £3.30ish a month which is very good as there is loads of stuff there, they have a miniature steam railway  , a kiddie walk with loads of activities for them to do on the way round, several other walks of different lengths, cycle trails, bike hire, golf course, lake etc etc ... I reckon it would be a good investment for the summer holidays especially for those days when its not really hot enough for the beach. Its a great place for ds to ride his bike without having to worry about traffic, and he can run and run again without worrying about roads and stuff.

Ooh - where's that?? Moors Valley?

Just back from the hairdressers ... I no longer have long hair   Its now a bob, I think I like it but I need to get used to it first  :D Part of the reason for having it done was when it was long i hate washing it, which gave me even more excuse for not doing exercise as then I'd need to wash it again :D

SS ... we haven't had any snow again today, living near the coast mean we hardly ever get any here :o

Spud ... i'll have a go but I know almost nothing about Excel :o , what is it you need?

Tigzem ... yep, Moors Valley! I love it over there, might be a good place for another outing?? Sorry again about the xbox, has he got one yet??

Oh yeah, I emailed John Lewis as only 2 of my 4 items I ordered had been delivered and i was asking when the rest was coming, anyway they replied today saying they are out of stock so have refunded my money ... then when I got home from the hairdressers theres a card saying someones tried to deliver a parcel .... I'm assuming thats what it is, could be something else I suppose ... they're going to redeliver monday (I'm back at work  ) and if not they return to sender

I used to take my oldest two to Moors Valley all the time when they were younger. It's a lovely place on a warm, sunny day when you've got kids that need tiring out.

Have they still got that bridge walk type thingy? Not the most technical of descriptions, I admit, but you know what I mean.

    Happy haircut

I just want to but my bank account balance at the top of a a column, list our expenditure individually underneath, and have excel calculate a running balance in the next column. I have the first 2 bits OK, but have to use a calculator to work out the running balance part.

I did have an Excel for Dummies book, but I've lost it :o

use a formula in cell B2 something like"=$A$1 - sum($A$2: A2)" and copy it down cell B3 etc...

Your bank balance goes in A1.

You can pre-copy is and use an "if" to hide it if you haven't filled in an expenditure yet.
