Glad you're feeling better and I hope DS hasn't caught it now. I'm sure you won't be able to keep him indoors if it does start snowing!Mortgage OP 2025 £7550/7000Mortgage OP 2024 £7700/7000

Hi benben
Glad you're on the mend, so miserable with a lurgy and still needing to look after DS too. I was sure I'd get something over the hol, with sitting in overheated/overcrowded trains for hours, but nothing so far. Still got another one today so it might still happen (sounds a bit like Eeyore, doesn't it, permanently expecting the worst).
Hope you *do* have a good day today, or at least don't get snowed on.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
I decided that some fresh air would do ds good, so we wrapped up warm and went off to a local country park, it was lovely, a bit chilly but really nice and I'm glad we went. I am going to buy an annual car park pass next time we go, it costs £40 for unlimited usage for the year or £4.50 per visit otherwise. It works out at £3.30ish a month which is very good as there is loads of stuff there, they have a miniature steam railway  , a kiddie walk with loads of activities for them to do on the way round, several other walks of different lengths, cycle trails, bike hire, golf course, lake etc etc ... I reckon it would be a good investment for the summer holidays especially for those days when its not really hot enough for the beach. Its a great place for ds to ride his bike without having to worry about traffic, and he can run and run again without worrying about roads and stuff.
I stopped for petrol on the way (£15) and also nipped into Sainsburys and spent £3.50 but bought 4 selection boxes, a box of matchmakers, a bag of after eight minis, a 2 boxes of luxury choccy biscuits
I know, I know, but ..... the selection boxes have 5 items in each and I always take a snack to work for break time, so they will be my January school snacks (£1 in total
), and the biscuits have a best before date of September so they will be put away for when visitors come
Just off to do a couple of surveys that came while I was out and try and earn a few pennies today towards the challenge
