Right, one chest of drawers built and one cupboard built :j :j I'm knackered now and sick to death of silly instruction books that make no sense at all, but its all done, just need to get rid of the packaging down the tip and rearrange all my clothes and stuff to make my room tidy !! Who needs a bloke?? If I'd asked my ex to make them for me (when we were still together) they would have sat there for at least a fortnight  :D

Okay, so, time for a biscuit or two, then need to go to tescos and do a big shop (again  ), my next delivery man came round with another parcel and he took away the ones I was gonna take to the post office so thats saved me another job :D

I was thinking about the mbna thing again, I reckon its the balance transfer fee?? They said that would be 3% so that would be right for 3% of £1000 ... I didnt realise it came out of the balance though?? Can you tell I'm not used to cc's :rotfl:

  • Well done building the furniture pain to do but probably quite liberating not having to rely on anyone. I bet when your ex visits he can't believe how well your doing and how independent you are, well I hope so anyway :D

Will you get a charge from MBNA?

Haven't phoned them yet, somehow ds has put a lock on the phone  so I need to find the manual to figure out how to take it off again :D I'm not gonna call from my mobile as it will cost a fortune ;)
My ex doesn't even step inside when he comes to get ds, even if its pouring with rain he says he'd rather stand outside  doesn't worry me though, this is our space and he's not part of it and I feel safe that way ;):D

  • Is there not a button on the phone with a tiny key or something usually on the bottom right? I think mine is on the hash key? You just hold that button down til it bleeps and the lock comes off. Well you do on mine but yours might be totally different.

It's taken me two hours to pluck up courage to post again on this thread.

I hate doing anything such as what BBaM has done today. Living close to an Ikea has its advantages but I always buy too much in there. Looking around, I must have a dozen pieces of furniture from there at home and I've detested putting every single piece together. Why men are considered to be better is beyond me.

BBaM, if I was your b/f ( not that this is an offer (unless you want it to be:rolleyes: ) it would have been done immediately but there would have been a leg at the wrong angle, five screws left over and I would have accidentally pushed the allan key into my ear. :rotfl: Sometimes no man / woman is better than any man / woman.

    And breathe!

You do the same to lock it too incase you dont want DS to tinker with it ;)

I find IKEA furniture dead easy...

There's always bits left over. If you pull everything out at the beginning and count it (as you should) you always find there's 12xB rather than the 10 it promises...

Suppose it stops people trying to take it back when they've broken a couple of screws saying "There's bits missing..."
