Thats a bit like the deputy head at ds school, he looks like he's just left college
At the open evening they had he had to stand up and talk about the school and he looked sooooo nervous, we were all going "Ah, bless him" afterwards, am sure he would have liked respect more than motherly pity but never mind!

I like your thinking re the male teacher :T
My daughter starts high school soon, and her teacher (male) looks about 18 - I think I'm getting old :rotfl:
Another one here with only one week left to go, but I will have to start planning this week and probably (gulp) go into school and make sure everything is ready.
With you on the young teachers. Went to my 13 year old's parents evening and was convinced his maths teacher was only about himself. When I commented to DS that it must be his NQT year DS told me he'd been at the school the whole time DS had. Think maths teacher must have been a child prodigy Dougie Hauser type and must have gone to university aged 10!0 -
Today I spent 70p on what I thought were bread rolls at the bakers but they turned out to be tea-cakes. I wasn't paying too much attention and just picked them up. They were fine but messed up the lunch ... ween't too good with ham in them :rotfl:
Also spent £2.00 in tesco as ds wanted a doughnut and then I got a couple of other bits that weren't really needed
That was all though so not a bad day although I may spend some more tonight online ... I've been chatting again today to the "rather friendly" guy online, and he does seem dead cute, anyhow, it made me realise I simply must do something about my weight. After ex left me I lost 2 stone in about 5 weeks and went down to 9 st 3lbs through complete broken-heartedness and pain. Gradually though over the last year this has crept back on and I'm back to square one again now  so, thats it, time to do something about it. See, now its all written down here I have to follow it through
l
I have followed weightwatchers a couple of times before and found it works for me as I like to snack rather than eat set meals. I've got no excuses for not doing it now either, the only obstacle really is the lack of opportunity for exercise at the moment. Once ds is at school full-time (Nov) I will be able to go to the gym after work before I collect him but for now its only every other fortnight when he's at his dads:o
Tomorrow night I have arranged to meet a friend and rather than just go for a drink we're going to go for a walk in the forest and chatter while we walk ... then go for a drink;) But its a start!Mortgage Total: £51,549 / £75,000

This morning I got up and took ds to his first football lesson. It was really sweet and he did pretty well really. You could spot those kids who have a kick-about regularly with their dads and that makes me sad that he's missing out on that
He's a lazy monster too and kept saying "I'll sit on the bench and be a sub" ... takes after his mother when it comes to exercise
He's gone off to his dads now for the weekend so I am home alone !!!! I'm charging my ipod then might nip to the library, get a book and go down the beach for the day
On the weight front I weighed myself this morning and my starting weight is 11 st 2lbsI am aiming to get to 10 stone by 1st November and then I can join the gym properly and go while he is at his after-chool club
Had 2 weetabix for breakfast and was sooo tempted to grab chocolate when he went ... purely a comfort thing as I hate the house feeling empty when he goes, ... but instead I came on here :A

 Yesterday I had a lovely day in the end ... I met an old friend at lunch-time and we decidd to go for a walk, and we walkd down to the beach and then kept walking and walking ... and eventually we reckon we did about 7/8 miles :j Then we drove to anotherlocal village and sat on the harbour and ate fish and chips. Not a very good start to my diet but it was one of those day that was just soooo lovely we just had to do it
and I figured the exercise helped anyhow. Other than that though Iwas really good food-wise (2 weetabix for breakfast / ham salad for lunch and a banana, and loads of water all day).
Money-wise I spent £5.60 on fish an chips  and £3.60 on a couple of drinks in a bar (diet coke for me). Oh and £17 in Tesco ... salad is soooo expensive! and £3.25 in Woolies for some no nails. Oh and £3.20 for ds football lesson. £32.65 in total for the day  Today I will be attempting to figure out yet again what I have left for this week, and i don;t think it will be much

I've had a no-spend day today !! :j :j and not only that but I have got loads done too :A I've done all the ironing, labelled all ds school stuff, done 2 loads of washing, filled and emptied the dishwasher, cleaned the flat, put up 2 noticeboards and ds wall clock and then taken ds to the park after tea
It felt like more than that when I was doing it all but I'm happy as everywhere looks tidy and I feel chilled
I have figure out I have £61nleft for this week, to last until friday night. I have to get ds haircut and post some ebay bits oh and have to buy a usb cable as I thought I had one but it got lost in the house move somewhere
Off for a nice bath now and to put my pj's on and then might enter some competitions tonight;)Mortgage Total: £51,549 / £75,000

I entered gala bingo last night via quidco and deposited £10 (now only £51 left for the week) and it has tracked already at £30 :j :j Am off to do a similar one with mecca bingo through topcashback now ....Mortgage Total: £51,549 / £75,000

Good and bad to report tonight, well, not bad but feels like I've gone overboard today ... so, we had a lazy morning and then I took ds to a local town and we ate lunch at the harbour which as lovely as he could watch all the boats go in and out and he saw some trains too and a bus station, so all in all it was his idea of a perfect trip out
While we were out I spent £2 on the car park and £4.50 on lunch for both of us.:o
Then when we came home I seem to have gone a bit mad money-wise today, well I probably haven't but it feels like it. This is what happened ...
I did the Mecca bingo thing and deposited £10 which should earn me £30 from topcashback. I also ordered a 12x18 photo for free from bonusprint (cost me £1.50 for p&p), and I will stick it in a frame for someone at xmas, .... and then I have also ordered some of ds xmas present, another controller and another game for his vSmile. I have the money for this in my present fund and they were £4.99 each reduced from £15 and £18.
Oh, and I also ordered myself a new mobile phoneTheres some logic to it, I'll explain .... The phone was free and the line rental is £30 for 18 months ... and I get 400 minutes p/m, 500 texts p/m, £120 cashback, a free Wii and Wii sports and £60 cashback from Quidco  The only downside is I still have about 4/5 months of my current contract left but I was looking at buying a Wii as a christmas present for me/ds (as I have no partner to buy it for me:o but also means I don't have a bloke thats gonna hog it all the time
:rotfl: ), so it means I have to pay both for a few months but with £180 cashback that will more than cover it;)
I can justify all my spending and I have the money to do it but I m sooo not used to spending money that I feel guilty for doing it !!
Anyway, I MUST have a no-spending evening tonight!! Well, other than a birthday present that I must buy tonight and a ticket to get to my Mums on fridayMortgage Total: £51,549 / £75,000

Don't feel guilty that sounds like an amazing deal! I sometimes feel like that though, worried that because i'm spending money I won't be able to stop.
I really need to get stuck in at quidco and topcash, just off to get my "kitty" some food now...Mortgage OP 2025 £6200/7000Mortgage OP 2024 £7700/7000

The phone and the bingo both tracked overnight :j :j but I still feel guilty about the phone
... I had a look on ebay and I could sell the Wii for about £150 - £175, added to the cashback (£120 + £60) this would give me about £330 - £355. The whole contract will cost £540 over 18 months, so this money could cover 11/12 months payments  meaning I get it free for about a year then only pay the last years payments .... but I do want a Wii, I just don't know if we'd use it enough to justify it.
I'm not a gaming person at all, in fact when my ex left the only positive I could see was that I wouldn't have his PS2/Gamecube etc all over the place... but then I never liked them because I never really got a go on them (typical bloke:rolleyes: ), but I had a go on a Wii a couple of months ago and loved it
Any suggestions guys??? or advice from anyone who's got a Wii whether I should keep it or shove it on ebay pre Xmas??Mortgage Total: £51,549 / £75,000
