    I am good at trivia.

    Having an outbreak of http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/ency/article/000832.htm

I usually get in the summer so this is new
  • Oh, ouch melly! It says it is stress related so that is probably why. That sounds really painful.

It's in popping phase so is mainly itchy and yuk at the min (rings are OFF)
Next stage is sore this one just means I look demented
  • Ow, ow ow. I understand to an extent as I have psoriasis and it goes through a weeping, itchy stage which I then inevitably scratch and then it gets very sore. That's all you need on top of everything else, not fair!

I really need to wear gloves when cleaning. I know this. My bloody job covered contact dermatitis and yet. ......
  • Aw, I sympathise. I am supposed to as well and be careful about what hair products I use. Somehow I end up cleaning with bare hands and using cheap hairspray. Then I whine when my skin and scalp starts itching...

It's not the toes, it's the claws.

They are incredibly slow, but they can take a swipe and give you a nasty slash.

Yes! Sorry! I meant the claws! I was thinking 'three-toed sloth' and seeing the three long claws and my brain mixed up the two!

Yes! I remember now! The fur is home to algae and other stuff which have a symbiotic relationship with the sloth. That's why sloths can have a greenish tinge. They are also hosts to protozoans which can cause serious illness in humans.

  • Eeeeep! No wonder people can't touch her! I will be more than happy just to stand in the enclosure near to her though if she isn't high up at the time. I am fascinated that she has a training programme-walk? roll over? play dead?

I'm on the same order of events as Melly. Only 2 hours later due to further inability to get butt out of bed.
This whole resetting my routine so I'm not up till silly o'clock is going nowhere fast. I blame Gitdog. He looks so cute when he's asleep I don't have the heart to turf him off my lap.

I want to watch sloth training as well. Wonder how long the latency effect is, between command and action?
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.
  • Aw, it's worth staying up late to cuddle Gitdog!

Hahahahaha! I didn't think of that, elsien! They may say "Sit!" then go away for a few hours and come back to see if she has managed it yet.
