Recommend me a phone!!

So I'm after a new phone, my mum has decided she needs my old one and I was thinking of upgrading anyway!!

I currently have an iPhone 4s and have to say I really like it, there just isn't enough memory for my liking!

I don't mind buying a phone outright and getting a sim only deal. I'd not want to spend any more than £300 if buying outright though.

Or I don't mind a contract deal but I don't want to spend more than £28 a month, would prefer under £25 a month. I saw the smashing deal on HUKD of an S4 for £13.99 a month (100 mins, unlimited texts and 1gb data) through tesco but they are sold out at my store and online

I have been looking at the Samsung S5 or the Sony Z3. I like the fact that they are waterproof, I work outside and want to be able to check my emails in the rain without worrying!!

I would like to be able to take good pictures on the phone, looking at reviews of the Z3 it says there is quite a bit of lag starting up the camera and when taking pictures which would be annoying I think. I am a dog walker and take photos of the dogs, I need something that takes pictures quickly before the dogs move!!

I have no brand loyalty (well... I'd love an iPhone 6/6+ but I just can't justify spending that amount of money on a phone!!)

If anyone has any other suggestions I'd love to hear them! Or if you have seen any good deals please let me know

You can get S5 for £25/mth 1000mins/1Gb or the S4 with the same for £20/mth.

If you are prepared to try Windows Phone, something like the Lumia 830 bought outright and PAYG connectivity could be worth considering.


I've got the older Lumia 920 and I'm pleased with the photographs on that.


Somehow the iPhone 5C seems to be a bit cheap looking for the price it sells for and Apple up the price considerably for a bit more memory.


As a music player, I far prefer the iOS but I've an iPod Touch.

Very happy with my Moto G 4G. However the camera is the weak point, if that's important to you.
