Just thought I'd bring to the attention of any MSE forum folk from the NW.
The cheap store Quality Save has the following for sale and they appear to be cheaper than even the manufacturers prices
Verdo briquettes six pack 279p
UK Heat logs 10kg pack size 249p
House coal 10kg 299p
Smokeless coal 10kg 399p
They will also deliver a pallet to your door for the same price I think
http://www.qualitysave.co.uk
Ps I have no link to the store and I am not on any commission but I am sat snugly in front of my wood burner enjoying the savings.

verdo briquettes at £2.79 is the same as homebargains sell them WHEN THEY HAVE THEM IN. It is the cheapest I have seen them and they are a quality briquette.
I see qualitysaves website also has 'brazier' smokeless fuel at 3.99 which is the same as Aldi. I notice it is produced by CPL but isn't on their own website (coal2u) Is it a special 'discount' version?0 -
I believe that Quality Save and Home Bargains are linked or at least use the same supply chain so they share a lot of the same products at the same price.
If you are looking at the fuel in kW per hour per £ then you may find this site a good source of comparison.

I need to declare an interest here I am a member of the wood fuel coop in the above link but I would also really recommend them and they deliver nationally too.0 -

Brazier is sold as Multiheat by CPL - why they use a different name I don't know.0
