HI chums shopping all done and nothing more to buy foodwise for a couple of weeks at least. No snow here in north Kent either ,not even frost this morning.I did a small washload and its actually blowing well on the line outside which is nice as I like the smell of line dried stuff.
Just going to have my lunch then its feet up and relax for a bit with my knitting until school chucking out time.

I went to aldees and bought the oranges (navelina's which are gorgeous ) plus the salad spuds which are charlottes the blueberries and the tomatos I sliced and diced a big bag of onions for the freezer last night so I did't need those and I'm not keen on braburns .But a lot of bargains bought and I used up the vouchers my friend gave me last week so I have now got 56p left in my food purse to last until this Sunday :) when I get a new month's cash in there Not a lot to go into the holiday left-over-fund this month, but probably more at the end of next month, as my cupboards are full now :):):)
Have a good one everyone and keep warm

  • Well we are STILL snowbound here 6 hours from my last post! Dear DGDs are driving me crackers!! Every toy they have here is deposited on the floor. Boxes open and contents scattered! Eldest DGD then decided she wanted to learn to knit!! It all started well (as well as it could anyway!!) and she seemed to be grasping it. Then she started losing interest and stitches were getting dropped right, left and centre! I think we'll carry on another time, says I and fled into the kitchen to scream!!

Lunch was the promised cheese and ham toasties and hm tomato & basil soup. I did the sarnies in the George, copying a tip I read on here. Why haven't I tried that before, it was so much quicker! Eldest DGD declared them awesome toasties!!

The snow still coming down in furious flurries. I do hope it's better tomorrow and they are back at school! (As much as I love them they are hard work!)

I am a bit miffed at missing Aldi today as it's the last day for the £5 voucher. Maybe if the roads are clear when DD gets here from work later me and Mr TA can manage a quick trip down.

    Hi everyone,

We have decided on the dress! She will look wonderful. I can thoroughly recommend "Fur Coat No Knickers" if you're after something a bit different. They sell vintage wedding dresses and also designs that they base on vintage frocks. They are made in the UK and they will change things to suit, for instance DD liked the fabric on one dress but the style of another so they said she could have the fabric and they will add the cap sleeves she wants, it's almost like getting a bespoke dress and not over the top expensive. I can't praise them highly enough.

There's not a lot happening here, I'm watching Andy Murray (I recorded it) so I hope he wins.

    Have a good day.
  • Spoke too soon we had a heavy snow shower that settled, but it has stopped now, no disruption just a bit of white in the garden :D which is nice to see
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light
