  • Good Morning everyone, the bathroom walls are covered in little patches of colour and now it's daylight I can decide which one is the right one for the room. He who knows is painting ceilings in there and the utility room today and when we have the colour for the walls we can go and choose some cushionfloor too, it's nearing the finish and will be lovely when it's done.

We won the pub quiz for the second week running last night, so I now have £25 towards next Christmas. I save all our winnings through the year and it pays for all the Christmas food which is lovely. We play with my brother and sister in law and they have a continuous fund running to eventually pay for an original oil painting from a local artist for their lounge when they find the one they like, good eh?

We're very cold here this morning but bright and sunny at the moment, we're unlikely to get snow but will certainly get the passing wintery showers as we're on the coast here so after walking the hound this afternoon I'm going to light up the stove and hibernate until tomorrow. That Zebra is 1 today, I cannot believe it's been a whole year but it has and his nursery are having a little tea party for him this afternoon, aww so sweet. Hopefully we'll skype this evening when DD gets home from work at 7 ish, if he's still awake that is!!!

Have yourselves a lovely day and stay warm, Lyn xxx.

    Good morning everyone :hello:

It's not too bad here this morning, very windy and quite cold but not a flake of snow thank goodness. I missed the girls and hubby going off to school/work this morning as I got up at 2am and went back to bed at 5am. Had some very nice dreams involving little grey kittens though so that was nice :D.

I have bitten the bullet this morning and signed myself up for a beginners crochet class. It runs for 4 weeks starting next month at a local cafe. I figure if I get a taxi to the door and back I can cope with it and I really want to learn how to crochet. I am looking forward to it very much, I've tried learning through youtube videos but I need someone to sit next to me and show me what to do.

I was going to make spanish chicken for tea but I can't find the chicken breasts in the chest freezer so I am going to make southern fried chicken and chips instead as I saw a couple of boxes of the chicken pieces on the top. Oh well, the girls will be happy as they love that kind of 'open a box' type meals.

I don't know if I am going to get any visitors today which will be quite nice as I need a day or so to myself to get on with some housework. Mind you, I will probably be ringing my eldest DD to come over for a coffee by 11am :rotfl:.

Wow Mrs LW I can't believe Zebra is 1!! That has gone really fast.

Hope you all have a great day whatever you are up to, take care xx

    Morning all,
I am a bit late this morning, but here at least. Very icy here this morning, paths quite slippy and non-gritted roads not great either. A small snow flurry a wee while ago but not much lying so far. After dropping DS I have sorted some laundry (did a load and put some dry things away/into ironing pile). Main other task is to finish this crochet as got very little done yesterday. Was ridiculously tired last night around tea time- though it maybe because I wasn't eating so much after dentist on Tue, but still really tired this morning (and had a decent brekkie!). Walking back from DS drop off I was almost going backward lol, despite it not being that far. Not sure tonights plans for tea, maybe a Lidl Pizza, which we have already, with green salad (lettuce, toms) and veggie cous cous? Dunno lol! Have a good day everyone!

Morning all, well it is just....

all done and dusted at the dentist. I am minus one wisdom tooth and have had one root filling in the tooth next to it. The extraction wasn't too bad but the filling was worse. Still no pain thanks to the paracetamol I took beforehand and the local anaesthetic injected into my gum. My mouth is still pretty numb though. Tooth took a lot of persuasion to leave its socket and I'm glad its over. I'm on antibiotics for a week and have a follow up appointment next week.

Snowing here, glad it waited till I got home.

    Onwards and forwards,

    have a great day all.

Well done, Hoping the pain doesn't get too bad and the paracetamol keeps it in order.

at seems to have recovered well from her teeth extraction; all she wants to do is eat!
Awww, bless her.:o What's she able to have to eat?:o

I am absolutely climbing the walls here, and can't wait for Jessie Lab to get here this evening.
Surely it can't be right, when your first thought every morning is to wish that the day was over?

  • She seems to be eating as normal Lame Wolf.
She has a bowl of dried food to dip into and then has the usual cat food in pouches plus water to drink. I think her gums have hardened up over the years and she's a normal weight for her age and size.
She's 14 now and will be our last cat!

amazing isn't it how well they recover after dental surgery. I remember my eldest dog having 3 teeth out and came home on the evening and devoured our other dogs food which was dried kibble. Wasn't much point in softening hers up with water.

Heres me, looking at a bowl of cold soup cause I was told not to eat anything hot. I think ive gone a bit over the top.:rotfl:

  • Camelot, glad to hear you are feeling a little better x

No snow here, we had a bit of a frost this morning, but nothing to worry about, it soon burned off when the sun came out.

Went shopping in Aldi, it was quiet for a Thursday, we flew around in super quick time, I used my £5 off voucher and £2. 65 worth of coupons, so that has gone into the pot :D

    The new super six is:

    125g blueberries
    1kg salad potatoes
    7 Braeburn apples
    7 oranges
    250g baby plum tomatoes
    4 large mild onions

    All at 69p

We got home and were in for 10 mins when best friend came to visit which was nice, we sat in the warm in the front room chatting and catching up as you do while DD made us coffee and DH and DS put the shopping away :D

Dinner tonight is Honey and mustard chicken and parsnip hot pot with new potatoes and broccolli

    BFN x
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light
