SMART Phone Monthly Contract < £10 per month

Hi

My phone contract is due to end shortly & I'm currently investigating what to upgrade to.
I currently have an HTC Desire & I'm paying £7.50 a month. I'm currently with Talk Mobile but I'd consider switching networks.
I don't want to spend more than £10 per month as I'm not a big user although I could afford a bit more for a particularly good deal.
I don't understand the differences between all the different phones

Any recommendations ?

Thanks
Jenny

If you're looking at keeping your HTC and are looking for a suitable tariff, IMO, i think you should have a look at Utility Warehouse:

    https://www.utilitywarehouse.co.uk/services/mobile/overview
    (no referral)

I find that they may be useful to you because on their website it states: "If you find you're on the wrong price plan, you can switch to a different price plan at any time. Even if you haven't finished your contract yet!"

The website further states "Unlike other suppliers, we automatically stop charging for your handset when you've paid for it - we never 'forget'. So, at the end of your contract, your bill will drop by up to 75%!"

Plus, they also offer a cashback service on purchases which may help with your monthly bills. Have a look at their Cashback Challenge (no referral).

    https://www.utilitywarehouse.co.uk/services/cashback/howitworks

They may be worth considering. Have a look on their website for their mobile tariffs and phone deals.

    Hope it helps!

Buy the phone outright. You can get a Moto G (better than a Moto E) for £99, which works out around £4 per week over 2 years.

Then get a PAYG sim eg Three 3 2 1 and this will probably cost no more than a £few per month if you are not a heavy user. You also also get 150mb free everytime you topup.

Second vote for Moto G and 3 2 1. The battery lasts forever, and it's a great phone. I top it up every two months. Reliable and a lot less clunky than my previous Huawei. ;)

However you can get a contract Moto E on Tesco Mobile for £7.50pm, no upfront payment, 24 months. That's cheaper than their cheapest SIM-only deal with some data (£10pm).
The downside is a 24m contract, but it's a decent budget smartphone. And Tesco Mobile allow you to cap your usage.

I'd agree. Their website, though, if you need to add a buffer to the cap is a bit, well, challenging.
