their statement proves they have no powers and cannot do anything
What will happen if you do not pay what you owe

If the amount is not paid by the date shown above, we will recommend to our client that court action be taken by them to recover the outstanding balance.

Oh how funny. They've now 'had a chance to look' and it's been dropped, as a gesture of good will, on this occassion only.

So that's all five tickets from last year wiped off, with not a penny paid. Versus the hundreds I'd have spent if I had paid them, even if on the cheapest, initial request.

    Thanks guys!

    No surprise there.

Did you contact the BPA? Did they reply?

If you did and they didn't reply go back and ask them again why this company is a) failing to send out POPLA codes and b) putting the cost of POPLA onto all the other upstanding members of their association.

putting the cost of POPLA onto all the other upstanding members of their association.

An excellent point to put forward. I'm sure their fellow members of BPA will be interested in seeing the answer.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
