PCN because of ticket's poor print quality?

Hi all,
I've got a PCN; the reason given is that the P&D ticket wasn't clearly displayed or valid.
The PCN was observed between 10:59 and 11:02; the P&D ticket was paid until 11:15, so that can't be the issue.
The P&D ticket was definitely displayed on the windscreen.
So the only thing I can think of is that the warden didn't like the poor print quality of the ticket; which I clearly can't control.
I'd post an image, but it won't allow me (any way to provide you with an image?).
Anyway, anyone taking a few seconds would easily read the time and the date.
Plus, the serial number is clearly printed.
I was going to challenge the ticket through their online form.
What do you think?
Standard template with my details stating that the contravention did not occur, plus attaching the image above as evidence?
Thanks in advance for any opinions and your time.
Cheers,
Vince

Ohh good, a faulty ticket wording then! Go to pepipoo forum and ask them about the wording flaw with Hounslow tickets. I can't look at your link as I am at work (lunch break) but I know there's been a wording flaw with Hounslow windscreen PCNs for over 2 years. They won't want another adjudication that includes that fact.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

looks like you got "ghost ticketed"
A term for when the enforcement officers are short of the quota.
Despite what councils claim, they dont get the average of tickets a day and it's bye bye job.
They have no choice but to Ghost ticket and make up numbers.I do Contracts, all day every day.0 -
Thanks all for the quick replies, guys.
Do you think it's fair, then, if I challenge the PCN on the basis of the two following reasons?
1. The contravention did not occur (evidence being my P&D ticket)
2. There's a wording flaw in the PCN rendering it invalid (I've just dug up the flaw from pepipoo and, astonishingly, it's still the case with the PCN I got)0 -

Apparently the issue was different.
The road where this happened has two different type of bays, one for residents only and one where you can actually park with a P&D ticket. I've parked there many times, but I never noticed it. So this time the car was parked in the wrong bay (signs are clearly displayed, unfortunately).
I acknowledge I am technically wrong, but I found it a very deceiving attitude; in such a small road, seeing a P&D machine just leads you to think you can pay and park... I'd have never imagined there two type of bays (which btw have the same colours for lines on the ground, just a different sign on the pole).0 -
Doesn't mean you won't win an appeal. The flaw is there on the PCN. Most appeals that take a case further, win. I also post on pepipoo and have never seen Hounslow take a case to Adjudication in the last 2 years, when a person states the flaw as part of the appeal.PRIVATE 'PCN'?
