sorry am a bit late, Happy February 1st to everyone, and a huge welcome to all new challengers. :hello:

LionessInWinter - I would only count overtime etc when you actually receive it, as we all know from survey sites, payment is not always made or for the amount you expect. Better to count it when actually in your account.

nicedream - here is the referral board

    MinnieMousesMummy - thank you hun

Djelhi-Bhelli sorry to hear about the washing machine but how wonderful you had made the money already. good luck with the insurance repairs etc.

Good luck everybody and we can do it! :j:T

Thanks Aesop, you're right. The first check I had in January was $40 short so I won't count any money until its received :)
  • Happy Monday everyone!
I am claiming back £42 from works health care and also have some expenses to claim back. Can I count these?
    Thanks x

Thanks Aesop. I'm just keeping fingers and toes crossed that nothing scuppers February's funds in quite such expensive form!!!:o

Today... discovered my quarterly £5.00 reward voucher from GFK in my overflowing mailbox! Whoop! That'll do nicely. :)

I've got this week off work as I have a lot of leave to use up, and so I'm enjoying a nice cozy Monday morning, snuggled in at home in PJs and dressing gown instead of running for a chilly bus and settling in for a long busy day at the office :j

Today's 'proactive' task.. I've emailed Azzda about some fresh produce in their delivery last week that was all bruised and split, so hopefully they may give a goodwill refund there. I took pics, just to prove my point!:p

  • Will someone please give me a good slap?:o

Applied for a Free Trial of Equifax Credit Report and Score on 1st January via TopCashBack. Stupidly I took my eye off the ball and forgot to cancel until yesterday (one day too late) and a DD of £14.95 was taken yesterday to cover this month's subscription. I phoned yesterday as soon as I realised my mistake and they have cancelled future DDs but this month's still stands.. The TCB cashback is still showing as pending but I know it is one that takes months to become payable. Whether I'll get it now I've cancelled remains to be seen. Even if I do get it eventually I'll still be just over £6 down on the whole deal so I'm really annoyed with myself. Even in the bad old days when I spent money like water I never 'forgot' to cancel DDs etc in time. Now I really need all the extra cash I can get my paws on I go and do something stupid. Could be worse, I know it's just a piddling amount, but it still hurts.

    Sorry folks. Rant over:o
  • its so annoying when that happens carbootcrazy!
ByeBye - re: expenses I only add things that save or bring me in money so for example if I claim back something I bought i.e. printer ink - I don't count it, but if I claim subsistence - i.e. work pays for a meal I would otherwise had to pay for, I do count it. Like anything in these challenges it's up to you to decide what to count - I think its about finding what works to motivate you. For example my colleague hardly ever remembers to claim anything back so it would probably motivate her to include all her expenses.

& on that note - adding a £10.00 subsistence claim.
