Hi all,
I am thinking of opening a new bank account but also am in need of a new car as my company car is about to be given back so will need to part finance another car.
If I open up open up a new account will this affect my chances of obtaining credit for a new car at all?
Many Thanks

One credit search shouldn't affect your chances of obtaining credit for a car.
You should check that you are on the electoral roll and that all your other credit accounts are showing correct info and that your debt:credit ratio is relatively low.I'm a Board Guide on the Credit Cards, Loans, Credit Files & Ratings boards. Hi Candyapple,
Thank you for your reply.
I am on the electoral roll and have been for just over a year, I was on my previous property too for over 5 years.
I am currently using 1% of my available credit and have no searches on my file apart from insurances quotes in the last 12 months.
I have recently had a CCJ drop off my file in November last year and havent applied for anything as I am a little worried about being knocked back even though my file is all up together now and nothing negative on there.0
