What size of house is big enough to accommodate 2 adults and 3 kids? I know this is a very subjective question so don't have a go at me!!! Just wondering what people think. If u are a family of 5 how big is your house and do you think it's big enough?

Depends on your budget and how much you like/dislike moving. In your scenario and if I could afford it I'd want 5 bedrooms, at least two bathrooms, large lounge, large kitchen/diner, good size garden.
    It's someone else's fault.
  • For the two of us, our ideal house size is about 3800.

We've had much less, we've had much more, but that's right for our current lifestyle.

If I had 3 children, I'd want at least 4500.

Why does Buckingham palace spring to mind?:rotfl:

(I have never set foot in a house that size in the uk, 2500 sq foot is considered palatial around here)

The average 3 bed semi is less than 1000 sq ft, are you sure you really need a house that big.
If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales
