Jet22Birds wish to apply for a stay on the above ruling... Pending the results of a poll on the "Geld Sparen Experte" website currently taking place in Germany.
Well you had me on that one, I actually googled 'Geld Sparen Experte' and came up with nowt, till I stuffed it into Google translate :T:T
That must be my twin brother CleverDevil he's on holiday in Germany:beer:After reading PtL Vaubans Guide , please don't desert us, hang around and help others!

British Airways... because their fares to Cuba are extortionate (the only way to get them to fly there is to charter the entire 'plane).0

But you can't post criticism that without actually voting! That's the equivalent of a badly dressed and overly refreshed elderly gentlemen in the street shouting at the passing motor vehicles ...0 -

Alas not: but he did conclude with a rhetorical flourish, just before he struck out Monarch's defence and awarded me my costs, "He who lives by the sword must die by it!" Which was nice.0 -

ThomsonI suppose it depends on how you quantify factors affecting your flights?
I regularly fly all over the world and you do generally get what you pay for. So, if I fly low cost I am doing so for that reason and don't expect much more than to get from A to B in a reasonably timeous fashion.
I quite like Jet2 for the extra baggage allowance (provided the cost hasn't gone up v another low cost carrier to take account of that) I have rarely been anything less than on time with Ryanair, and have never had baggage issues with anyone.
I have three claims in currently with Jet2 and Ryanair for delays, but for what I paid for the flight I wouldn't let any of the delay issues prevent me from using them again.
I have just booked flights to Portugal, Amsterdam, and Jersey for the next couple of months and the low cost carriers were double the cost of the national airlines like TAP and KLM.
I do expect more from these airlines, but, if I don't get it I won't be able to complain too much because of the price differential between them and their competitors, the so called (clearly not in this instance) low cost carriers.0 -

I broadly agree but with the exception of Jet2 I've never really regarded them as a low cost airline, EasyJet and Ryanair yes. Never flown TAP or KLM. Not big operators from LBA
Out of interest how much did you pay for the Jersey flights and who with? It's difficult to get flights from LBA, Jet2 or Flybe via Southampton which takes over two hours, prices not bad though at £40 each way,
Cheers,
