Best way to take Zloty?

Not going for a while, but if a prepaid card is order of the day, then I'd like to top the balance up little by little so I've got a decent sum when I go.
I'm off to Poland for a weekend in September. Obviously I need to take some zloty. What's the best way of doing this. I can't get a credit card or change bank account, and the current accounts are Halifax Reward and Co-Operative.
I use a prepaid Sainsbury's/Travelex dealy for Euro, but I go there a bit more often. Should I just take cash?

If you are only going for the weekend then i wouldn't bother with a pre paid card...keep an eye on the rate and order online a week or 2 before you travel and pick up from a bureau in store x0

The rate to change cash in the UK will be rubbish, if you don't want to use cards take GBP and change it there, you'll get a much better rate. If you need a little eg to get from airport to town just change £20 or so here, take rest in GBP.0

whereabouts are you going in Poland
if its Warsaw - Poznan - Krakow - Gdansk i can advise of best practice"If I know I'm going crazy, I must not be insane"0 -
I'd also change as little money as possible. Poland can be very cheap and you will spend less than you expect.0

Thanks for that. Hotel is prepaid, so I'm basically paying for local transport, entertaining myself and eating and drinking. And on top of that as I'm going to run the marathon, I'm likely to only eat from a supermarket on the Saturday night.
It's going to be three and a half days - arrive mid afternoon on Fri, leave late afternoon on Mon.
So it looks like I'll be running round with cash, then? Like in Germany. As I'm not likely to be going again, and don't want to bring too much home, what am I looking to spend?
Breakfast is included in the hotel price, lunch is only ever quick - street food or something simple, and I'm not a gourmet for evening meals. Adding a couple of pints of beer into the mix is £150 a reasonable budget for four days?0 -
thats a good amount for the 4 days you are there i found warsaw very reasonable
with regards to exchanging i found no problems , reason i asked is that i did in Krakow & Gdansk
i was actually caught up in the marathon last year when i was there i had to cross the road to get to the station but 100s of runners were blocking my path , eventually made a run for it and got across
have a great time you weill enjoy it there"If I know I'm going crazy, I must not be insane"0 -
Cheers Kernow. I'm looking forward to it. Not done "Eastern Europe" before.0
