One way street- parking direction

Can you be "not parked correctly within the bay" if you are within the lines? I see cars parked backwards on one-way streets quite often. What does it have to do with parking though?
But it wasn't parked correctly was it? It was parked facing the wrong way in a one way street. Only way to clarify your argument would be taking all the way to the adjudicator which poses the possibility of the OP paying the full cost of the PCN.Playing devils advocate, it could have been trailered in the correct way round and deposited backwards. Sure it'll be a nuisance to move away again but not impossible.
I'm sure the adjudicator will be very interested to hear an explanation as to why would anyone do this?PLEASE NOTEMy advice should be used as guidance only. You should always obtain face to face professional advice before taking any action.0 -
Can you reverse up a one way street? (In the correct flow direction)
Perhaps into a bay at beginning of one way.I am not a cat (But my friend is)0 -
Did you gather any evidence you were in the bay ?
Which direction the street says is irrelevant, their authority relates to parking offences only.I do Contracts, all day every day.0 -
I suppose somebody could legally turn a car round in a one way street, for instance to assist with loading/unloading & then turn again to drive off - but it would look very suspicious if you are parked facing the wrong way & you'll probably find that you need to pay up or argue your case in court!0

It's a LA issued PCN. No court process involved. OP has the option to appeal (which will probably be rejected) and ultimately take it to the Independent Adjudicator (PATAS) to decide. However (as I mentioned before) should the adjudicator uphold the PCN, the full amount then becomes payable.PLEASE NOTEMy advice should be used as guidance only. It would be interesting to see any parking order which states the direction which you should park in. Ignoring the "driving the wrong bit for the moment as he is is not being being done for that.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0

It depends on how you interpret being parked incorrectly in a bay. One could assume that parked facing the wrong way in a one way street would be "parked incorrectly" just as it is when you park facing the flow of traffic at night without any lights on (although there is I believe a separate offence code for that).
Again, it possibly can only be clarified by the adjudicator.PLEASE NOTEMy advice should be used as guidance only. You should always obtain face to face professional advice before taking any action.0
