One way street- parking direction

Does it matter which way you point the car to park on a one way street?

I received a car parking ticket which states i was not parked correctly within the bay, when i actually was, but my car was pointing the other way round to the direction of the street(one way).

Is it worth an appeal ?

Possibly wrong contravention. Scan and react the ticket and post on the council and decrim section of pepipoo and the experts will give you a good opinion.

How did you park facing the wrong way in a one way street?

I have visions of Russ Swift, J - Turn and Parallel parking in one move.

    i drove the wrong way.

I understand this is an error made by me, but I was parked completely within the bay, and thats what the ticket states i have done incorrectly.

That's why you should go to Pepipoo, scan up both sides of the PCN too. If they have put the wrong contravention on the PCN then that is fatal.

Can you take a photo on your phone? all you need to do is cover up the reg number time and PCN number

Do both sides, transfer to your computer via usb cable and upload to a site like tinypic

copy and paste the [img link to the post in PPP and job done.

So not matter how you look at it, you failed to comply with a traffic sign giving an order (no entry). And then you parked facing the wrong way thus "not parked correctly within the bay". So what's your problem?

I didnt see the sign until afterwards.

You sound very argumentative towards my post, not something I am interested in to be honest.
Unless you have something constructive to say of course, otherwise, leave my thread alone!

Can you be "not parked correctly within the bay" if you are within the lines? I see cars parked backwards on one-way streets quite often. What does it have to do with parking though?

Playing devils advocate, it could have been trailered in the correct way round and deposited backwards. Sure it'll be a nuisance to move away again but not impossible.

Not being argumentative at all. But you are seeking a loop hole following contravening (by your own admission) a traffic sign giving an order. If you take this all the way to the parking adjudicator, you will find yourself potentially paying more money than you need to because I cannot see any argument available which the adjudicator will uphold. At the end of the day your were parked "incorrectly in a bay" because your vehicle was facing the wrong way.
