OH needs to buy a new machine - either laptop or pc. The only requirement is that it must have Windows 7 and they seem to be impossible to get anywhere now.
Can anyone recommend a website or store where they still are available from new (and affordable) and if this fails where to get a bare bones machine with no operating system?
thanks for reading

Is this a software or personal issue?0 -
Try Aria, Ebuyer and Overclockers. Pretty sure Aria were still selling Win7 a few weeks ago, and also sell PC's without OS.0

Both....DD2 has Win 8 on her laptop and for a more mature person seems a nightmare.I don't see the point of it for a non-touchscreen machine as 7 was very good.

Relax. Get her to update to Windows 8.1 and its a very familiar set up with start button etc.
Windows 10 will be coming soon as a free upgrade. Again, very similar again (running the Windows 10 preview on this machine)0 -

As you have someone that can point out the differences on hand, it should be a breeze.
If you wish to stand still with the OS then fine, but do it for the right reasons, mature or not..;)Drinking Rum before 10am makes you
