daft question, how do you find two bedrooms?

I'm not sure I'd want to share a room with a 17 year old daughter and her boyfriend. And they probably won't want you in the same room either!0

You're making assumptions about who will be in which room, and you know what they say about "assume"...0 -
That's why they want two rooms presumably!Doshwaster wrote: »I'm not sure I'd want to share a room with a 17 year old daughter and her boyfriend. And they probably won't want you in the same room either!0 -

I would like two bedrooms, but hotels generally have a double bed and sofa bed.
The second comment has thrown me, and possibly others. Presumably you are looking for a single unit that has two bedrooms rather than one room that has two double beds (ie twin room)?
Whilst these do exist in the form of suites in higher end hotels this isnt going to be the sort of price you are wanting to pay.
Your best option is probably to look outside of hotels as others have already suggested. Alternatively you could claim ignorance to the 18 rule claiming you thought they were adults at 16 but risk being turned away at the door. Finally could try contacting hotels and see what they say esp if you request adjoining rooms etc.0 -
There are loads of apart-hotel type places with 2 bedrooms, or one bedroom plus lounge bed-settee particularly in tourist/beach resorts, which aren't always (or even usually) "higher end".InsideInsurance wrote: »The second comment has thrown me, and possibly others. Most the ones I've seen are serviced apartments blocks that happen to list on hotels.com etc to get tourist trade rather than a traditional hotel. Inevitably there are some exceptions0 -
Beach resorts are full of them. Package holiday companies use them, they cater for families on holidays, they know families in general don't want to all squeeze into one room and families are their main customers.InsideInsurance wrote: »Most the ones I've seen are serviced apartments blocks that happen to list on hotels.com etc to get tourist trade rather than a traditional hotel. Serviced apartment type places you get in cities. The OP wants a beach holiday by the sounds of it so should have no problem getting an aparthotel with separate rooms.0 -
