daft question, how do you find two bedrooms?

I want to go away for a week any time between 28 May and being back for 10 June.

Going just myself, adult, and 17 year old daughter and her boyfriend.

I would like two bedrooms, but hotels generally have a double bed and sofa bed.

How do you find two bed hotels?

I seem to have to scwral thro descriptions etc to find room spec.

I'd like half board with entertainment, so a villa is out really.

Happy to go anywhere warm near a beach. No more than 400 each including flights is this possible do you think? ,

I'm happy to use an agent for this, as it's taken me so long to try and find anything.

Hoping you guys might know a site I can use?
Forty and fabulous, well that's what my cards say....

When your on the site after you have put no of people you then have a link no of bedrooms so alter that to 2. It will calculate any single em supplement that's available xx

Travel Republic/Agoda/Booking.com are starting places that'll give you lots of accommodation options.

Last May, same sort of dates as you, we took a late package deal with Thomson to this place...

Alternatively, if this option isn't available, start off by putting in 4 or more adults to get an idea of what 2 rooms might cost and then if necessary contact the provider to find out what the cost would be with less people but a single supplement added.

i put in my search at least 4 adults and 2 kids (or 6 adults ) this will bring back 2-bedroom suites and apartments. This works on all of the online hotel agents I regularly use (travelrepublic, hotels.com, expedia etc)

Obviously this won't work if you are looking for a package holiday including flights, but it will at least let you see the hotel/apartment prices and availability in any areas which interest you.

Alternatively, if you are looking for a package, you can put "2 rooms" and specify who is in which room, in your search.

holidayhypermarket will let you do all of the above jax, i put in 1st June to search for 7 days, any destination, 2 rooms, 1 adult in one room, 2 in another, and loads came up, from only £210 per person (£280 if you want half board) :).

There are cheaper prices too, if you can go on other days of the week - go have a play, see what you can find.

    Thanks everyone.

When I go to put in details of the second room, if I select two rooms, one person has to be over 18, whereas they are both only 17, that's why I thought I'd need a two bedrommed room, which is proving harder to find.

I have to go into each hotel and search the bedrooms spec.

If I could just book two rooms it would be so much easier, but it doesn't let me proceed with just two under 18s in....

You could always mislead the hotel over which 18 year old is in each room. Or book a villa!

Might be wise to check the age of consent in the destination country too.

What about a static caravan? Loads of big sites with loads of entertainment right on a beach. You can get 2 or 3 bed ones easily enough. Not HB but most have reasonable restaurants etc, and most have a BBQ. We much prefer these to hotels when travelling as a family.

how about this then - to start you off, use holidayhypermarket for a package, but put in 5 or 6 adults in your search, in one room, and don't specify a destination. This should bring back results for a large one-bed or 2-bed aparts/rooms. Then, research those hotels which come back, on travelrepublic or expedia, to see how much it will cost for the 3 of you to have a 2-bed room at those hotels (hotel only, no flight). You can use the holidayhypermarket flight information to go onto skyscanner and netflights etc and then source your own flights to the destination of your choice with the hotel that suits you.

As we are a family of 3 (sometimes 4) with teenage girls, we always like to have a 2-bed apartment, so I usually find booking the flight and hotels separately works best for us.

Why don't you just book an apartment on a complex, we went to Tenerife and booked one apartment with one bedroom and sofa bed in living room and another apartment with 2 bedrooms, it came either self catering or half board .
