Huawei G300 - stuck on pink screen

This morning I kept getting error messages on my phone that google services have stopped.
Turned the phone off. When I turned it on again it was stuck on the vodafone splash screen.
Have tried a hard reboot (remove battery, replace battery and turn on with volume and power buttons pressed) but now stuck on a bright pink screen.
No way to get to any menus to reboot.
Anyone have any ideas as to what else I can try please?

It is a good idea to be alone in a garden at dawn or dark so that all its shy presences may haunt you and possess you in a reverie of suspended thought.

Just seen this on another forum:try this 1st! battery out hold volume up, keep it pressed, insert battery, still hold it 10 -20 seconds should boot into android recovery wipe the caches and factory reset then reboot - should fix it0

Thanks Swipe.
Gave it a try and got a stage further than before, got a screen with the little green android man on his back with a error triangle.
Text shows:Android system recovery utility<3e>
Reboot system now
apply update from sd card
wipe data/factory reset
wipe cache partition
touchscreen firmwear update
No way to make any choices but it seems to automatically reboot when left to its own devices. Unfortunately it still get stuck on the vodafone splash screen, or on the pink screen if I hard reboot.
Thank you though, worth a try and not an option I had come across while trying to solve the problem. It is a good idea to be alone in a garden at dawn or dark so that all its shy presences may haunt you and possess you in a reverie of suspended thought.

Use the volume rocker to move up and down through the options, and power button to select.0

There should be a way to scroll and select the options. Try scrolling through the list using the volume up/down button and select the options using the power key. You'll need to wipe cache partition then select factory reset and then reboot. Good luck.0

Have wiped the cache, carried out wipe/factory reset and rebooted.

Looks like problem solved.
