Good morning!
I'm sorry that I didn't get round to doing an update the other day.I should definitely manage one today, but later on.
BTW,Swedish Chef, after your disgraceful behaviour at The Ostrich Races, there's a rather disgruntled chappie who'd like a word with you.....I told you to be on your best behaviour, but did you listen,hhmmmmmml....:eek:
I'm glad to say that otherwise,we all had a ball, despite the dodgy finger food and the warm beer.0 -
Yes, marmite, a day to remember indeed! I think Swedish Chef has gone off the idea of ostrich egg omelettes after his encounter with the feathered tyrant above!
I am still.amazed at Igor volunteering to ride in the newcomer' s race....the sight of him cantering down towards the finish line with a herd of zebras chasing him will haunt me forever....One life - your life - live it!0 -

I've surrendered my chance of an NSD for today - temptation was just toooo much!!
I use a website I'm pretty sure Martin recommended to watch for Amaz0n prices to drop to a level I'm prepared to pay, and yesterday got an email to say a DVD on my list had dropped to 7p below my trigger point. That may not sound a lot, but given my triger point was only 24p....... By the time I looked at it in the afternoon it had actually dropped a further 4p, and it was only the fact that buying it would have lost me my 'in a row' that stopped me going for it there and then.
Got up this morning to emails letting me know 2 more had fallen below my trigger point. One I was watching for 24p had dropped to 19p, the other was a boxset I was watching for £3.74 which had reduced to £3.23
I've left the boxset for now (it's series 5, and I've only just received series 3 - with series 4 still being at more than I want to pay), but I've ordered the 2 films. With postage that comes to £2.81, and they're both from a seller I've used on a regular basis over the last 4 years and have had no significant problems with quality of second hand items so far (one track on one double CD wouldn't play, so OH put it through some software and burned me a copy that plays just fine).Cheryl0 -
