How many people have done 3 to 4 shops in a month to get the Udi's, I have seen the same members posting the same shop time and time again.
I agree that alot of people on here order the udi's and reject the subs probably hoping that they're not in stock in the first place, but there are a few that order the Udis hoping to receive them or accept any substitutions. I quite like the udis myself, so either hope to get them or to get the apple variety or even a different gluten free product. These are mainly for my sister who is quite health conscious.
On the other hand, I very much doubt anyone ordering 6 toothbrushes is actually hoping to get them or even planning to keep them if they do get them.Ordering more than 10 Udi's and 6 of the toothbrushes in the end gives the same value. Its just a little quicker to get to that limit.
I think it's an issue of morality of where you draw the line. This includes other things like having more than 1 account when they're all for the same household (as opposed to more than 1 account for genuine different households e.g. 1 for yourself and 1 for your mum who lives elsewhere). Everyone has their own moral code. I personally stick to the limits ie. 1 account only and £100 per month.
EDIT: Just to say, I don't judge anyone as everyone has their own moral codes.0 -

Don't quite understand this so sharing with you clever people .
Extract of a receipt from this morning...
0.49 x Florette Classic Crispy Salad (200g) £0.85 £0.49
2 x Amoy Straight to Wok Peanut Satay Stir Fry Sauce (... £1.98 £0.98
1 x John West Wild Pink Salmon (213g) £2.69 £1.50
1 x Richmond Irish Recipe Mini Sausages (20 per pack -... £1.50 £0.50
2 x Richmond Pork Meatballs (20 per pack - 200g) £3.00 £1.00
The florette salad is on mms at £1.75, I'm sure the sel says the same. It scanned at 85 p so I thought my apg would be ruined by this....(crisps were my downfall in the end) but look at the comparison it shows as 49 p in a.
Any ideas?
Also thanks sfsb for the Richmond info will be getting some more:T
First price is usually A, 2nd price is whoever it is comparing against
I'm confused why it says they bought 0.49 of a bag
Could be good for a CC/HD if it's £1.75 onlineApparently, everybody knows that the bird is [strike]the word[/strike] a moorhen0 -
Is that versus M by any chance? .. msm is unreliable for M comps as A do their own in-store price collections.
The APG see's the price you pay when shopping instore... unless it's yellow stickered then the barcode doesn't identify the original product anymore.never_too_old wrote: »Afternoon all

and there's the rub
As much as I think that's completely OTT, I have ordered a much smaller value of Udis/Persil recently and has been pointed out time and again it's hypocritical to say you shouldn't do something that you yourself are doing, even if you are doing it a hell of a lot less.
That's why I don't pass judgement anymore (Don't get me wrong, I roll my eyes right back in my head a lot but I've kept schtum for a long time because there is no point telling someone not to do something that they are obviously hell bent on doing)
It's a question of where to draw the "line" and we all have different ideas. i.e
If £10 is acceptable, is £15?
Well, if £15 is acceptable, is £20?
etc
etc
Well, if £95 is acceptable is £100?
My personal opinion is this is simply asking for trouble, but as long as this amount can be reached in one transaction people will do what they will to suit themselves
My sincere hope is that A will impose the £15 cap again. Not so much to stop people doing such large shops in the first place but to stop the whole "that's ridiculous/too high" debates that rip the thread apart. If there was a £15 cap then we wouldn't have the unrest that comes with it and we could all just get along happily
Instead this will cause a lot of unrest and ill feeling, a lot of showboaters will come out of the woodwork to gloat and a lot of seasoned posters will retreat to FB. What good comes of any of this? :wall:
No doubt this post will get ripped apart and it will be labelled as a "do as I say, not as I do" lecture but c'est la vie. Whatever someone thinks I do or don't do is of little concern to me
So what was your pointWhen The Fun Stops Stop0 -
I forgot to say before, thanks for the advice regarding my interview. I've taken extracts from various posts and put together a small speech that I feel comfortable saying in answer to that dreaded question0

where were the Richmond instore please as i looked in my local T's and A's today and couldn't find them anywhere0 -
I have come across what appears on the face of it to be a great boozy deal. I'm not sure as I've never tried them before, but 80p for a can of 6.4% vodka certainly floats my boat..
A is selling cans of vodka spritz at 80p each. They are 80p each on A.com and on msm. T is charging £3 each for them or 4 for £9.
Is this a stonking deal in A or is the T price a bit OTT? You decide..:D0 -
