I've not looked at the app as my phone isn't on that list, but I wonder if this would be reason for a trouting, might look like your putting unauthorised barcodes into the machine?... I assume it puts the clubcard barcode on screen and probably isn't endorsed by Mr T!

Alternatively, you could take a photo of your clubcard / morries card and use gallery?

I would not want the possible added attention... though it's annoying when M catches a glimpse of your clubcard and calls SA over (mine are both on same set of keys).

The app shows a barcode and also gets you to photogragh back and front of card so you can show it to staff if they question it, I have never had any issues with staff.

Over the years, I have worked with many people who have used food banks, and some people which have desperately needed the food bank.... to survive. I also have a friend who set one up in a rather affluent area.

Food banks are desperate for ANY item that can help meet the needs of families. When I used to visit homes as part of my previous job, I would always have fruit in my bag for the hungry child. There is nothing so sad as seeing an 18 month old eat a full apple including the core.

The little simple things are what make us human, and also help to save human lives.

    Please keep giving x

Well said, you have a much better way with words than me, and I think my previous post about the matter was a bit rubbish.

I'm not sure why its condescending to give free biscuits to a foodbank either? I have specifically gone and got them BECAUSE they're free, and because I thought they would be useful and appreciated by the foodbank. I don't want the biscuits myself - only because I'm overweight already and can demolish a packet of biscuits in seconds (and in fact did do that to a couple of packets last week!), but to me it seemed like an obvious thing to do to go and get some to donate.

I think you too are very good with words LS. This is the same way as I looked at it xx

I think you word things lovely x

From what I have seen with food banks, is that there is often an offer of a cup of tea, a biscuit (now foxes!) and a chat (people are more likely to open up to non professionals). Often the volunteers have a great deal of knowledge and can sign post them to services, or just be a listening ear which helps an individual cope for another day. The little things are important. I think the biscuits are going to be very well received x
