Thanks We have a really cheap accountant Used to work for him so I prepare all the stuff and hand it over and he does a quick check and submits to HMRC Paid both mine and DH's tax this morning plus the balance of my cruise and one bill
Spoke to another old boss this morning her tax bill was  I could have bought another house with that amount money
Be pleased that old boss is earning so much that they have that size of bill:pFor anyone doing self-assessment HMRC forms, remember you have to submit by midnight tonight to avoid penalties - I have submitted 12 hours ahead of schedule :A.
Each year I think I will get them completed at my financial year end, and each year I never quite get round to completing them until the run up to the deadline. Next (this) year, I will try harder.

I always pretend to myself that the deadline is 31/12. So I usually submit around mid January.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Quiet day at home today. I'm going to make a new smoothie with my Blend Active, followed by a home-made pizza. Yum.
Enjoy!:D What kind you making?
Got a great recipe for slow cooker pizza sauce, if you have a slow cooker (or you could make it in a pan, as well, just that the slow cooker is better).'It is better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.'

Did my first biccy shop this morning (thanks AAU for the lists). Shopped at about 11.15am, and 20500 points were showing on the app around 12.30pm. Can you buy something cheap to get the voucher as soon as the points are showing on the app?'It is better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.'

If you have fixed your energy tariff and have some time to go before it runs out (or even a few months), it is still worth checking your tariff now using the MSE Cheap Energy Club (and check other comparison sites too). There have been significant changes in tariffs for new customers (greater savings than the announced cuts over recent weeks). I was on a First Utility fix which doesn't run out until the end of April, but the projected savings with the S Discount Fixed Tariff February 2016 of £360ish for our use (only on MSE Big Switch - the S Fix on other comparison sites is slightly more expensive) make it more than sensible for me to pay the £60 exit penalty (offset with the £30 MSE cashback) and switch now.
Sometimes it makes sense to pay an exit penalty (from energy, or mortgage) for greater
