** 100% Combed Cotton Bath Sheets Towels (Lime, White, Fuschia, Plum, Heather, Slate) only £2.25 @ Tesco **
    http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/100-combed-cotton-bath-sheets-towels-lime-white-fuschia-plum-heather-slate-only-2129600

Thanks bubbs I headed to my store to see what they had in stock as according to Ts groceries they had a selection. ;)

Not many left on shelf and only in one colour, SEL not £2.25. :D

If you type in bath towel in the search bar it shows you all the face cloths (25p), hand towels (£1), bath towels (75p/£1.75) and sheets (£2.25) your store is meant to have in mixed with the new stock and you can pick out the cheap prices, I have chanced an order with subs. :o

I try not to leave anything to chance:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:!

You deliberately buy items that are all not 10% cheaper than one specific competitor, and nothing in the same shop where they are.

If A are more than 10% cheaper, then... buy at T, S or M instead! Careful with S as they do not cover own brands, so buy none of those there thinking they will compare to A being cheaper as they will not (you can buy own brands in S if S is way cheaper on them and therefore won't compare them to higher price at A as it is an own brand! However... if S is cheaper, then ... maybe buy in A for 10% cheaper than S!:rotfl:).

Plus of course the vital glitches in A on mix and matches sometimes, when specific items bought.

I do occasional lists of items that are Avs elsewhere. Haven't had much time for them recently though, and tend just to concentrate on Avs M - I have a full list on the first page of these thread (covers two posts). Be aware that vs M is a little risky, as they take prices from instore not from online and they don't always agree with what I have! Specifically, they tend to return some N/A but can also get some comparing against M at full price rather than their half price offer. M comp. not available in Northern Ireland.

For Avs other than M, see the website mysupermarket.co.uk. Tend to start at the competitor (of your choice) to where you are actually shopping. E.g. if going for Avs Sains, then start at Sains - Savvy Buys in Sains is a good place to start, although I tend not even to go for such high prices these days!:rotfl:

It shows you what items should compare from A vs whatever supermarkets. A compares vs M, S, T and W only. So, if you find Sains. cheaper - or cheapest - on an item, then that should be Avs S. A few quirks - the items have to be within 10% weight (as mentioned), whilst they still show prices on the website even if they are half size or twice size - these will not compare on APG system though, they will return N/A if outside 10% weight/number.

Also certain competitor mbuys (this is getting advanced;)!) do not compare - e.g. 3 for "2", 2 for "1", X for Y etc. if there are different individual prices on any items in the offer that are stocked (or equivalent own brand stocked, i.e. shown on msm) in both A and the competitor. In other words, even if some individual prices in the 3 for 2 etc. offer at the rival are different, you can ignore any items that have no equivalent in A. Or, for simplicity, forget about trying to compare vs the offer if any individual prices in it are different. Need consistent 89p 3 for 2 throughout, or consistent £1 3 for 2 or whatever. If any are different as regards items between A and the competitor, the whole lot return N/A on the APG if any attempt is made to compare against the competitor's offer pricing. (This can be to our advantage - e.g. if A is way more than 10% cheaper on those items:rotfl:.)

Wow, this is all very helpful thank you :)
Just need to put it into practice to fully 'get' it I think!
I may struggle a bit as I need to spend £25 per order (I can't easily get to the store) for delivery, so might have to include some items that are cheaper at A, but if it's too difficult I will try to see if someone can take me to shop :p
It definitely seems worth it for some of the voucher amounts you can get if you work it right :)

    Evening all,

Well chuffed, tonight has been a good night. I'm just in and organised at last...... Here to confirm something that has no doubt been confirmed umpteen times already this afternoon, but i've no time or energy to read back. Anyway, as I said earlier, I picked up a leaflet for a brand new MnM card at 8.30am, shopped for 'a few' biccies, registered the card at lunchtime, then nipped into M's tonight at 6.30 to buy a bag of sweeties to take into a footie match, and out popped 3 x £5 vouchers. ;) Didn't have time to buy biccies then, but will have in the morning. :D

And the second bit of good news. The team I went to watch play footie tonight won. :j:j:j

Nothing much as yet, just veetee rice 2 for £1.50 doesn't look worth doing to me.

This coke 4x1.5L multi seems missing from msm but again, not much back.

Mr A has been getting sneaky though, the new multi's [1] seem to appear after midnight a lot more often recently. I should be asleep by then :o

I wish I could report a sale on potato pealers and plasters :D[2]

[1] That may be good news, as may mean they then continue further into the day and work more! Trouble is what time they go live instore.

I was just wondering (as you do) how many packets of Morribobs free biccies have found a new home today? A few hundred? Over a thousand? Even more?

Anyway, on that thought - nighty night:)

FC sorry to hear of your loss. Rosie sounds like she was there when you really needed someone in your formative years. Glad you exchanged gifts for one last Christmas.

TM Hope you have heard from d's. Word to the wise avoid watching cnn at times like this are the over exaggeration is tremendous. I remember my dd phoning from the USA after the 7/7 bombings. Cnn had reported hundreds dead and her London work mates stuck in the USA with her wanted the real facts.

Sadly extreme weather is hitting the USA far more frequently and anything on the eastern seaboard finds it's way over to us. They are not clued up enough about global warming and florida is only just getting to grip with solar energy so they are about 20 years behind us.
