No, not really my thing to be honest. I've never really liked 9-5 jobs or office type work :o

    :D

What about in a nice hot country in a lively working atmosphere??

Having just started working again regularly.....I am actually enjoying it :o Isn't it strange that we always moan about what we've got but miss it when we haven't anymore.

    So true.

Nah. I've worked abroad before, but want to stay here and find a more fixed job and start saving :)

  • Any catering work abroad or on a cruise ship, say? Get a bit of sun in Jan:)
It's not something I've really considered before. hmmm.

Doesn't have to be catering work on a cruise ship, of course; I would have thought they are always looking for cleaners, maids, front-of-house staff, bar staff, etc, etc

I think we are thinking the same thing... I know of a great receptionist job in a spa/gym... in the middle east. But she wants to stay in London.... cannot blame her!

    So true.

    Chipolata.

I've had quite a pent up resentment at my career being cut short in its prime :o:o not towards anyone.....just circumstances.
But I'm right back on it now :D I'm still young!

....my OH however is not so impressed at not having an on call wife anymore. He will get over it ;) It has actually been quite a battle of wits :o He really did not want me to take another job on!

Its been stressful but I think I've got my point across ;)

I thought 'cruise ships' as that could be short-term agency work, 2-3 weeks or however long the cruise is.

Good on you. I was really young when I had the kids, and worked little jobs around the kids. When I went to work properly, it took my OH about 2 years to get his head around me having a career..... despite him moaning I think he quiet liked it (when he got his head around it him needing to do cooking/cleaning etc)

    Enjoy x
