I did about three dozen assignments for GFK and they were fine until the last one I did for them.

I travelled to a neighbouring town to visit one of their clients who demonstrates a product from stands in various town centres.

When I got there the stand was unmanned, but I could see the guy chatting to a Market stall-holder about 50m away. The guy stayed there for 30 minutes so I rang through a "hot alert".

I was told the guy may be on a scheduled break and was to watch the stand discretely for another 30 minutes.

The guy did not return so I rang again left the area. I was asked to take photos of the stand and the skiving employee, and to pick up leaflets from the unmanned stand then submit my report.

Time spent: 55 min travelling, 60 minutes at the stand, and 25 minutes doing paperwork

GFK gave me half the standard fee which left me out of pocket once I factored petrol and car parks into the equasion.

I argued my case but they would only ay half the fee.

    Bye Bye

Exactly the same thing happened to me. The stand was unmanned, I didn't know where the person was. There was a note which said "back in 10 mins" I did the same, rang, was told to wait, pic etc. Half the flipping fee! Bye bye Gfk. Up yours!

I see Market Farce are doing their ususual on the convenience stores they have taken from RM. When it was a RM job it was an ok fee, and reasonable infill job - MF have reduced the fee to a ridiculous amount and created an upto fee for re-imbursement which is a similarly pathetic amount.

    Mugged off comes to mind..

I saw this. I guess it would be ok if you were passing right by it but to even go 5 minutes out of your way would eat into any profit you might make. The spend was particularly crummy.

Dread it when Market Farce get jobs that other companies get as they always devalue the job and make the pay PP. Did the same when the took the clothes shops from ESA and then started asking you to take pictures of the items and the receipt and picture of the store - what a faff.

Think I know which clothes store you mean. I only take those jobs when there is something specific I want to buy from there as the fee isn't great.

Went into a city today to do some shopping. Nearly every shop circled a bit of the receipt and said if I filled in a survey online I'd be entered into a prize draw. That's a change from last time I went.

Still, you can ask as many customers to fill out as many surveys as you like. You'll never find out about some of the goings on I caught on film last week. Something to bear in mind, shops!
  • Haha, thanks on the tips for Mystery Shopping sir! :)

    Guys
I'm a seasoned MS-er for lots of companies and have recently done some work for T-S. I did these jobs in March and early April, but still haven't been paid - has anyone else had a problem with them lately?

    TIA

TNS? (you can mention the company, its fees and clients we have to keep confidential).

Log on to the job board SASSIE, go to Shop Log and click on View where it says Shop Payment Review at the top, that will allow you to see what is being paid and what is pending. Depending on when you did the jobs they may not be due to be paid till the end of the month. TNS usually pay at the end of the month after you have done the job, I've found jobs done right at the end of the month get lumped in with the next month.

For instance I've two jobs I did on 30/03/2015 strictly speaking they should be paid on 27/04/2015 (end of the month after the job) but they didn't get processed till after the cut off date so will be paid in May's pay run.
