MF money is showing in the bank for tomorrow - the 15th. As usual.

It is a real shame to hear about TNS. Really good people to work for despite having to endure the evils of Sassie. I do wonder which MS company the phone shop has gone to though. Someone told me that they've seen them pop up on GfK - and I've seen them there too, but I know those jobs aren't actually for the phone shop, but in fact for the bubbles mobile network.

I've always also wondered who the Red network uses, or if they even do use mystery shopping. I know Bacon uses GR, bubbles uses GfK and purple puppet uses MF.

Oh that's a shame. I used to enjoy the phone shop especially when they maxed out the fees.

I have fond memories of TNS from back in the day when they used to have a regional allocator. I used to get all the pizzas and coffees my heart could desire. And the pub visits paid very well too unlike MF now.

    :(:(:(

The red phone network was done by GR but I think that got stopped eventually. Talking of which not seen a single thing on GR for ages and ages!

I did a Bacon network visit for GR last week. I swear the report is getting longer and longer. So many questions! The purple puppet network visits on MF are much shorter.

I haven't seen much else on GR apart from the above. Obviously the pocket slapper has jumped ship to ESA. Haven't seen the pharmacy for a long while.

GR still do the occasional Q count for slapper, phone company, catalogue shop, travel agent and electrical store but since main slapper visits gone it's very bare pickings as far as I'm concerned. I hadn't done any TNS visits for ages and they actually de allocated me because of that so they are no miss for me but I did like working for them when they had a range of clients. I just couldn't face their phone client visit and the report was hellish

Still haven't received my MF payment for the 10th.

I really do hate how long it takes MF payments to clear. Every other mystery shopping company pays me dead on the date they say they will pay me. GfK for example nearly always pays me on the 10th and 25th - the days they say they pay out. Sometimes earlier if the dates fall on a Sunday or Monday!

Presumably MF uses a primitive system to send out their payments, probably similar to the way cheques are cleared. I don't know why they haven't adopted a better system like all the others where payments clear the very same day they are sent. It drives me mad.

MF are the most honest company, they tell you when they pay, it is then the banking system that takes the time. This is the same system most MSC's use, they just don't tell you when they pay just when it clears.

Seriously if you are sweating over the pittance MF pay then you need to sort out your finances, at peak I can be owed £1500 by various MSC's, the vast majority pay a lot slower than MF.

I was thinking of posting something similar to what Graeme has said.

    - MF's systems and site is good - I've not had a payment error ever - and I've worked for them for years

    - A fortnight or so to get paid is the quickest of all the companies I work for. Some, it is 2 months pretty much - so long that I've had to pay off the items I bought for the shop off my credit card long before I get reimbursed

    - If you really need the few quid MF pay that quick - this really is the least of your problems.

Really not sure how anyone can get into debt doing MF jobs. I always use a loyalty credit card for purchases and this guarantees a receipt. MF pay twice monthly like GFK, show me another company proactive like this.

The slapper job is getting daft imo. Put something on the floor? Apart from that little whine, I only stuck my nose in to say that MF have always paid me on time, but I don't really do much at all for them unless I'm tripping over the doorstep of something that looks ok whilst on my way elsewhere. I seem to have gone from MS'ing almost full-time to just doing half an hour now and then.

A dream doesn't become reality through magic; it takes sweat, determination and hard work

Has anyone done audits for a certain company that involve the final frontier (think Star Trek). Is it easier than it looks, seems overly complicated and lots of maths

    Thanks

Had a flag raised on a questionnaire from MF. They just sent me a question and answer from my last report with no comment or question. Is this normal? I answered with "Hi there, there was no question or comment with this ticket, what clarification do you require?"

PS payment came through on 15th as everyone predicted. I was a little confused by the date on the statement being the 10th. Never had a problem with payments being incorrect with MF either.
