If you're a F/T student, unless you've got another job as well, you're unlikely to get past your tax free allowance (10 grand-ish for most people), so they're unlikely to bother.

In all honesty, most of the numbers on my tax return are a reasonably informed estimate, and have been since 2003.
Yes it's overwhelming, but what else can we do?

Yes, they probably will reimburse you up to the maximum. In my experience, they always have.

Thanks - my report has now been processed and I didn't exceed the limit but I did purchase extra items, and it looks like they are going to reimburse the full amount.

Looking for some advice. Thinking of doing some MS and signed up to ESA, GFK and Market Force.
Already can see opportunities appearing within 5miles of me.
What I would like to know how much reporting do you need to provide after the visit and what are your experiences based on the 3 companies I've signed up to?

Welcome to another shopper on a bike!

The reporting varies with the clients. I'm halfway through an ESA report that I don't think will ever end, but they're not all like that.

Monkey farce are largely a waste of time, except for building up your experience, unless you're lucky with getting the "special" jobs.

GfK are alright, but the fees have dropped since the good ol' days.

ESA have some decent jobs, but choose carefully (like I wish I had).

I've tried to sign up with GR (grass roots), comleted a test which still shows up as 'waiting for grading' on my account. logged in today to see that my account with them 'has been manually deactivated'. there're no contact email or phone to contact them on about this and I have not received any further email from them. am not very bothered about them as a company if they've declined me for whatever reason which they're not telling me... yet, if they share the Sassie system will it affect my other applications?

    What are you talking about?

I am talking about declaring a benefit if you are referring. And GFK offer a referral payment. So if you want to refer someone, put your details on the board.

Don't worry too much about it, just be careful in how you do recruitment tests, etc, go steady, read everything twice before submitting answers.

    Their email is email@grassroots...

They don't use Sassie, and even if they did, MSC's can't see each other's data on there.

I think GRG are part of Kantar (TNS, etc), but even then companies within these groups tend to be pretty much independent from each other.

thanks, skivenov :) yesterday (a week after I'd applied) I received a welcoming email from them, so I passed. its just confusing how they do it!
there're no assignments with them at all in my area though. with the two other companies i signed up with, I could see loads of assignments straight away.

You will have to post your referral under the referrer's board.

Regarding the referrer's board, I still could not find it. I tried to find it to see if there're any referral links of other people that I could use to sign up. By now, I have just signed myself up and have not posted any of my own links here because im new and except for gfk I dont have much knowledge about other companies to recommend them! also nobody else posts their referral links here so I thought it was not appropriate! :) i reckon one can always pm for a referral link if one is interested?
