Good to see they are protecting their shoppers.

Sure but it would have been nice if they'd told me that when I created the account and given my address, rather than making me go through the assessment test.
  • Hi Guys,

Just started doing some work with MarketForce and have a query regarding their reimbursements.....

I'm not sure how much detail I'm allowed to go into on here, so here is my cryptic scenario:

I have to purchase a leisure activity, and also a drink, but I can purchase more if I like. The reimbursement would normally just cover the leisure activity and the drink, but due to a special offer, I will only use half the mximum reimbursement. So, if I order some food in addition to the drink, will MarketForce reimburse for this up to the maximum reimbursement?

Many thanks in advance for your help!

Yes, they probably will reimburse you up to the maximum. In my experience, they always have.

    Hi,

I have recently joined Market Force and completed around 4 assignments for them successfully, 2 of them were at a well known coffee shop chain, another In a pub & supermarket. I have completed all of these successfully without any issues. What I wanted to know is if MarketForce mystery shop hotels as I haven't seen any hotel jobs, and if they do, what sort of hotels - ie big chains, or independent ones etc. Also, how does it work do you have to book the room for yourself and apply for a reimbursement. What does mystery shopping a Hotel involve?

    Thanks

They do shop a chain of hotels, but the jobs don't come up often and do go fast.

Yes, it's basically a purchase with your own money and reimburse.

We don't generally discuss what a specific shop consists of in the thread.
Yes it's overwhelming, but what else can we do?
Get jobs in offices and wake up for the morning commute?

OK, I am getting back on the Mystery Shopping wagon (did it several years ago but making a stab of working self employed again). Can anyone give me tips on the best companies to work for now and if you want to refer me to any for a bonus I'm happy to help out with that :-)
  • They want us to reveal ourselves as mystery shoppers all for a soft drink?

Sorry, MSing pays some of my bills. I won't compromise myself like that. If you want to give them an award, I don't see why you can't do it yourselves.

I was wondering if anybody could share their experiences when they did not get paid.. so that to see which assignments are better to avoid.. i am offered an assignment to shop a kitchen which requires spending at least 2 hours in store and a large amount of commentary afterwards (and when they say large it means a 20 page questionnaire).. as a MS with little experience, am not sure about accepting it, what if I mess it up? i've been ok so far and always getting paid, yet this one seems to be at the top end of 'the difficulty scale'.

that also leads to the following question: if you pay upfront for a hotel, for example, can it happen that your report does not get accepted, for whatever reason, so they dont reinburse your expenses? i imagine there could be some dodgy companies out there that would rather earn a commission from the sale..can anybody say what to watch out for with legit companies?
am looking to sign up somewhere else and want to research it first :). could use someone's referral link.
