It was something in the tone of the emails. They were really nasty. I think the staff don't like the program and hope by outing the mystery shoppers it will be thrown into disrepute and stopped altogether. From this, I suspect that they don't get bonused based on the mystery shopping program.
I also had the impression that AA were really scared of losing the client, so the client comes first and the mystery shopper is dropped.
I agree. I was sent a copy of the same client's email and it was not nice at all. But what surprised me the most was that the client mentioned the things I had not done during my visit. Therefore I insisted on checking the CCTV footage and investigating it further as I got the impression they were thinking of someone else.
And what AA did? They did not even bother listening to me and took the client's side.
This is the public forum and I understand that some forum members who work for AA might not agree with me or others that posted here about their unpleasant work experience. However, we should respect each others views.0 -

I don't think anyone is shouting down anyone who does have a good experience of this company, least of all me. After all, I was one of the same for a long time - over 2 years. What I don't like, on forums such as these, is people trying to personally discredit those whose views they have seen expressed but they don't happen to hold themselves, simply to render their opinions redundant. That is just another way of silencing someone, using personal attacks, which is a far cry from respecting someone else's opinion on a topic at hand when it differs from yours.0 -
I noted in the post above, about AA briefs and the jewellery client that he said YOU had been asked re-shopped some of those AA gigs.
Eh? I haven worked for AA for months and had no contact beyond the regular SASSIE emails never mind re-shopping for them, in fact I've never done video for them. But don't let that get in the way of your ranting ;-)In future, I would appreciate it if you would just leave me alone or, better still, just leave....
And you have the front to call me a bully...0 -
Oh dear, dear, dear.
What have I walked into today?
I personally think that the AA rants have now gone on long enough and we have all had the chance to vent!
We now all get the gist that they are generally crappy to work for unless you have not had an issue with them yet.
Can we now draw a line under it and btw I don't think that Big G is a stooge and hurling insults at him is really not on.:rotfl:Survey Queen/Poundland Fanatic:rotfl:0 -
There is still work out there but the trend is only going one way.

On a lighter note, thanks for all the tips and advice on this thread.
anyway joined another MS group. Question, why would I for a very low fee buy something and take it back later on the same day possibly 30 mins later. I think that is a very unrealistic scenario and would make the shop suspicious?
I did one shop like this but I vowed never to again as I hated doing it.0 -
Anyone want to take their loved ones out for valentines at the (part) expense of MF and their well paying pizza jobs?....No?....Nobody? Ok.Well, you can tell by the way I use my walk

There will always be a place for a trained eye giving comments on a business for a good fee and quick and easy compliance audits for poor fees. Its the middle ground that will continue to shrink.
Fees for some jobs seem to be going up again and low fee ones are sticking around a bit longer, MF nad AA have stopped shaving money off and I've noticed the increases in GfK and Tern fees some jobs with what were bonuses fees becoming the starting level.
In the ecomomic climate we have been through companies with short sighted management always cut costs without understanding the cost/benefit equation. Add in to that a large number of new shoppers who have heard there is easy money to be made in large amounts and it drives fees down too.0 -

Is it RA toy shop? They keep calling about doing this visit as it has been on the job board for ages... I did it only once and they required taking a picture of the store, receipt and product. They used to have a different scenario where we just had to make an enquiry and buy something small.0
