Does anyone know about BBC Radio Podcasts

I routinely download BBC Radio 4 podcasts and listen to them in the Gym.
I have no problem setting them up to record in iTunes and then transferring to my iPod.
What I cannot find is any way to include past programmes to transfer to iTunes.
Perhaps it is not possible to do this - but if it is can anyone tell me how to do it?
Thanks in anticipation

I don't use iTunes but what programmes do you want backdated?
This seems to show Today podcasts from six months ago https://itunes.apple.com/gb/podcast/bbc-radio-4-today/id482933200?mt=20 -
Is the podcast not just in the iTunes store? Most bbc ones are.0

I've Food Programme ones going back 18 months, the only ones I can see that are limited are Radio 1 and 2 shows across the board and Mayo and Kermode film one. I've not checked them all BTW.0

I looked in the iTunes store but could not find File on 4. Put it in the search box but it just kept taking me to my own iTunes Library where I have only the one, most recent, episode stored.
Still I had no idea that so many podcasts were stored on iTunes so thank you0 -
Just found this on Google
A podcast offering Radio 4's award winning, flagship investigative series File on 4. ... iTunes · My Yahoo! ... Subscribe to this podcast and automatically receive the latest episodes. ... Download 18MB (right click & "save target as / link as") ...
It looks as though you can only receive LATEST episodes to iTunes
The right click and save target will only save to computer so no good for the ipod and gym.0 -
Go here http://www.bbc.co.uk/podcasts/series/fileon4
Click on subscribe iTune button, this will open up iTunes, you'll see over 130 of them.0 -
Thanks Big Graeme - I have done this but it only subscribes you to File on 4's and downloads the latest programme and then all the forthcoming ones. Clicking on Download 18MB (right click & "save target as / link as")on the previous programmes just saves to the computer and not to iTunes.0
