Interesting article:
Thank you. That was the article I was referring to.
I am going to contact Samsung again and see how that goes. Failing that I will be calling JL and my CC company to see where I stand.
The point I am trying to make is that consumers such as myself shouldn't have to constantly upgrade when TVs or any other equipment lose functionality. I can prove that the TV works with certain Samsung devices and that it doesn't work with other Samsung devices which indicates that the TV is flawed0 -

I dont think so.
As has been said the TV works with some devices so its unlikely to be the TV at fault0 -
I had the same problem using a sony smart tv and Netflix. It worked and then suddently didn't stream Netflix. However I could stream Netflix on other smart Tvs, apple Tv, ipad and mobiles. I was told it was a problem with Netflix updating their sotware and my Tv was no longer compatable. I solved it by using the apple TV we had to stream Netflix, youtube etc to the Sony TV and we also have the facility to mirror what is on the ipad to the TV using the airplay function with the apple tv. You could also try to use a HDMI cable from your tablet/mobile phone HDMI socket to the HDMI socket on your TV to solve the issues. The cable usually costs a couple of pounds on Amazon.0

I unfortunately don't have any spare ports on my TV. But tbh I don't find that to be an acceptable fix, costs aside this TV should work like it did before.0 -

We don't have a spare HDMI port, but unplug an existing HDMI cable, not in use at that time to stream Netflix, etc. I appreciate it would be slightly easier if it worked on the TV, but using an external source such as HDMI cable or Apple TV has the added bonus that it also allows us to stream more, than just the small selection of built in TV apps.0 -

Thank you for your advice. Unfortunately it would be a hassle for me to keep changing ports as to where my TV is also I don't have the extra cash to spend on something which should work without it.0 -
Lets us know what response you get from JL and Samsung.0

I think it's clear that the TV is not the problem.0

Will do.I think it's clear that the TV is not the problem.
I think it is. John Lewis have even slyly tried to offer me a Chromecast to help "fix" the problem.
Just to be sure I'm going to ask if Samsung can come round and bring a few tablets to try and play with.0
