Can't play .mov on any computer

Can anyone here help me with this problem.
I have 3 .mov video's from my wedding, that I can't play on my computer.
I thought it was my old computer, which was 7 year old with vista, so I downloaded quicktime and vlc but it didn't work.
I got a new laptop yesterday, and input the usb stick hoping to watch the video's but again I can't. I have downloaded quicktime and vlc again but nothings working.
Can anybody think of how I get these video's to work, or are they lost forever

if its not working in VLC, then it would suggest that maybe its not a valid video file, it could have become corrupt some how0

You might try installing the latest version of Quicktime then using that to open the files?

This installed tuneup ultilities 2014, and loads of pop ups.
I've now uninstalled, and running a full scan0 -

Thanks - this is the one I've installed.
The computer I'm using today is a brand new laptop only got yesterday, and all I've downloaded are the most up to date.
Thanks though!0 -
