Three One Plan - Any point bargaining?
Hi all. I'm on the three One Plan and recently reached the end of a 12 month contract (£15/month but no free 0800 calls). I'm happy with the plan but was wondering, is there any point phoning up to try and get a discount? I wouldn't mind signing for another year but only if they can offer something better than what I currently have, does anyone know if there's any chance of that?
Any suggestions great, thanks!

have a look at the current sim only offers. You have no chance of being offered anything like the One Plan again. Three have killed it and the present offerings aren't as good.
Even staying month to month isn't really a solution as Three are currently moving anyone out of contract off the one plan and on to a current plan. The choice they give is you accept the new plan or they give you a PAC to leave.====0 -
AFAIK if you don't ring them they will just put you on another plane automatic
You are better phoning them the unlimited everything as gone now apart from people that are still in contract but like yourself they will change it
You can still get unlimited data but not unlimited tethering on phone contracts you only get 2GB but on Sim-Only contracts you get 4GB.Nobody is Perfect. I am Nobody, therefore I am Perfect.0 -

Thanks, yeah thought that might be the case .
Do you know whether they'll keep me at £15/month at least or will they try and bump me up to £20/23?
Edit: Dah, just looked at bill, I see it's technically "£25 with a £10 monthly discount for a year". Guess that answers that!0 -
I have two "One Plan" SIM only deals, they are the £18/month 30 day rolling ones. They are still operating and being charged at that amount.
My OH had a couple of phone calls from Three offering her an "upgrade", as she isn't the account holder she said that she couldn't deal with them... That was before Christmas.
I haven't had a phone call, text or letter, but called them when the changes were announced to see if there were any deals to be had (mid November from memory). They wouldn't budge an inch from their standard scripts and would only offer the same deals as shown on their web site, no loyalty discount. They even said our One Plan was really £25/month and the £7 discount wasn't relevant.
A few One Plan customers seem to have been successful in negotiating a discount on the new plans. My advice would be to wait until you are pushed rather than contacting Three, it might be several weeks before they get around to contacting you... that way you will get at least 30 days notice and therefore another 30 days use at £15/month.0 -

Three openly advertised the One Plan for £15 or £18 per month and it was available to anyone. It wasn't advertised as a £25 plan with a special loyalty discount either.
IIRC it's still possible to use internet archive to see the top level Three web page i.e. http://web.archive.org/web/20131205011809/http://store.three.co.uk/view/searchTariff?deviceType=SIM_ONLY&priceplan=PAY_MONTHLY . The £25 and discount appears to be more about how Three's billing system works (that what I was told when I queried it) and AFAIK applies to anyone that has a One Plan at less than £25. Nothing to do with loyalty although that's how Three appear have decided to describe the difference when billing.0
