Letsure tenancy references

We have recently filled in an application for a comprehensive tenants check with Letsure.
They failed our application only because we have an overlap of three months between our current tenancy contract and the new contract.
We can afford this overlap financially, and also provide evidences to support this.
We have been great tenants and all the rest of the references is perfect; can they fail our reference only for an Overlap?!

Letsure use computers. If 'the computer says no' then that's what Letsure will say.
However, Letsure is not who offers you a tenancy - the landlord does (or perhaps his agent if he has delegated the decision).
They can take into account what you say, what supporting evidence you show them, and what Letsure say - then they decide.
In some cases where a landlord is also taking out a rent guarantee insurance, it may be a condition of the insurance that the tenants pass Letsure's vetting process, in which case obviously the LL is unlikely to say yes to you.
And in some cases, LLs/agents simply aren't open to flexibility and follow the Tenant Referencing Company's advice blindly.0
