I too have had lots of problems with this company, I purchase a bed which arrived damaged. They replaced it no problem and the mattress had a huge dip in it which they also replaced. When the new mattress arrived it had a large lump in it to the extent yo can't sleep on it. I have sent numerous emails and they daid I had to pay the £30 to return it. I have explained that it should arrive in a condition that you should be able to use and didn't see why I should be out of pocket when it is clearly faulty goods. They now have stopped replying to any correspondence . At a lose as what to do now.
  • They owe me £350 if anyone has managed to take them to court please let me know.I have been unsuccessfully trying to track them down for 6 months .
  • Hi I have a faulty bed (massive problem with the storage of the ottoman bed) as the wood wasnt cut properly and it sits at an angle and doesn't work as a storage unit.
They too have said there is no fault, and that if i want a refund, ill have to pay £100 for the bed to be returned to them.

I have sent a complaint to citizens advice and they will contact their trading standards.
In the meantime, I have sent letters of formal complaint, as if their product is faulty, they should pay return postage. Not me. If I however, change my mind, then they dont have to pay. but its clearly faulty but they have given me all sorts of reasons why they wont - e.g. damaged in delivery, wood expanded, everything under the sun! Part of the design etc. Its shocking. They are simply crooks.
  • i have just been looking at mattresses from this seller on ebay -
guess I will keep on looking -potential minefield if item is not 100% perfect
  • Thanks for this post was just about to spend £600 on a bed from this company I shall think again.
  • Seeing this thread I feel like I have just dodged a bullet with this company, I was looking at buying from them as well, I'll look elsewhere now.

Quick update - I opened up a case with Ebay, and after 2 weeks where the seller can resolve it themseleves, if they do not do so, then ebay makes a decision. Ebay ruled in my favour and I got a full refund straight away.
Then BedExpress wanted the bed back, they arranged the pick up, which I complied with, though I could have been as difficult about it as they were, but I didn't cause a fuss.
I just didnt want that piece of **** in my bedroom.
  • To everyone who has had problems with this appalling company! I now have the Registered Office address and have confirmed that this is correct. The parent company is THE YEY GROUP - their Registered Office Address is: AMS Accountants Corporate Limited, Queens Court, 24 Queen Street, Manchester M2 5HX. I have now sent them a Money Claim through the Small Claims Court and I will keep you up to date with progress. Hope this helps.
  • Hi I also got my money back via eBay. They wanted the bed back so they arranged a pickup thankfully.
