Recommendations for dash cam please

I want to get a dash cam. I am overwhelmed by the sheer volume of choices and don't know where to start.
I'd like something relatively unobtrusive, good enough quality to stand up legally in event of incident, and of course good value for money! i don't want to spend a huge amount so thinking in the £100 - £150 range but of course if cheaper then great.
any recommendations please?

At that budget you should pick up a good one that meets and exceeds your requirements.0

I believe there are some examples on You Tube that should give you an idea of picture quality.Tall, dark & handsome. Well two out of three ain't bad.0

Google techmoan. That guy knows his stuff. Personally I use a transcend drive pro 200 from Amazon. Great quality video and under your budget too.0

That transcend 200 looks pretty good, captain.
How big an SD card do you use in it - and how long is the recording time before it starts to loop and erase the oldest recordings?0 -
The Transcend DrivePro 100 is also very good and has an internal battery to retain the date and time settings even when switched off. I bought this from https://www.dabs.com/products/transcend-drivepro-100-car-video-recorder-9Y2N.html?src=15Old dog but always delighted to learn new tricks!0

Seconded for Techmoan.
Favourites are the Mobius and 0803.
Budget to for an sd card, mount, and a long cable if you are going to put the cable behind trim.0 -
Not cheap but I use blackvue in both mine and the misses cars.
I looked at cheap ones but decided to go with a known brand, did not want to go too cheap and find out it was not recording when needed.Google gives you answers use it.........0 -
Mobius now running for 2 years - fit discretely behind the rear view mirror and forget.
Been on a Mondeo and now a Tiguan.0 -
You need to think about what features
After being hit twice whilst parked and unattended, I was keen to get a camera with parking mode and a g-force sensor - not all cameras have theses features.
I went for a Blacksys CF-100 with rear camera for under £100 on ebay if bought directly from Korea, although there's a risk of an extra £30 or so cost if HMRC select the package and decide you need to pay VAT on the import. Still much cheaper than buying in the UK.
Some reviews which I found useful are here:
