The 'Select' appeared on ours over the weekend. The product name still says just 123 account though.
We don't really meet the criteria unless it's because my 'money shuffle' starts from this account? (> club lloyds then back to sant > tsb - back to sant etc)GC Challenge March £55.48/£2000 -
I've just noticed that mine have the 'select' signs present. Looks like its an invitation for them to hone in on you and sell you things. I don't have a clue as to how long that's been there.0

Ditto
maybe we have all been given a Quasi-Experimental Design select.0 -
I am Select, probably because of shuffling house monies, but I can't see what privileges it brings me.0

But, can you see what privileges it possibly confers on Santander?
Well, apparently, greater customer centricity:(ii) Customer centricity
49. Santander UK has taken a number of steps to organise its business around customers rather than products. We have undertaken a programme of customer segmentation, which has allowed us to gain a deeper understanding of the needs of individual customers and ensure that we offer the right products to the right customers. For example, Santander UK’s latest offering to affluent customers—called Select—provides a personalised service to every customer via their own relationship manager, enabling them to solve their service problems via a single point of contact. In addition, we are implementing an integrated multi-channel experience—including telephone, Internet and branches—that enables all customers to access our products and services via the channel most convenient to them.

Another load of old tosh I think. What bank customers want is more interest. How much simpler could that be?0 -

Very close. You need to meet one of the following conditions:- Pay £5k per statement month into a 123 current account, from a non-Santander account.
- Have at least £75K in one or more Santander UK current, savings or investment accounts.
- Have a property worth at least £500K with a Santander UK mortgage.
I'm "Select" but there's no Gold in my account name. Perhaps this is because I didn't take up their offer of a Gold debit card.
I wonder if they'll downgrade me when my ISA moves?0 -
I'm really annoyed now, I thought I was someone special, "select" even. Then this morning the wife got a letter saying she was now "select" too. On the back are criteria for becoming Select & she doesn't meet them! And they offered her that gold debit card too, what is the world coming too?Tall, dark & handsome. Well two out of three ain't bad.0

I received a letter today confirming 'my' select status. O/h hasn't got one although we have a joint acc
. I've called and got through to an advisor after a 5 min wait . I've requested gold cards for both of us. The advisors going to call beginning of Feb to check we've got them and to see if we need any more help
