Pay your BT line rental for a year upfront and if SKY have LLU where you are, see what they can offer. Expect £5 per month for unlimited broadband.

If Sky LLU is available from your exchange take it,£16.40 pm is a fair deal including weekend calls,if you make calls during daytime or a lot of calls it may be worth adding Talk Anytime at an extra £5 per month.

Why would you bother? No need to take their telephone line.

If you take the phone line with Sky you currently get their broadband free so worth doing as would work out cheaper over the year than paying BT their upfront line rental and paying Sky £5 for their broadband.

Perhaps. In my case the cost of my mixed package is less than the SKY line rental alone.
I also prefer it that was for increased flexibility. The offer would need to be considerably better, for me to consider moving everything.

You now cannot order Sky broadband without taking their line rental
