I was a former customer of EE (after using CISAS to terminated my contract early in September 2014, due to the 2.5% increase on my contract and receiving a refund on all bills from the date of my complaint :j) and luckily I had hard copies of the bills with the VAT charges for roaming bundles used internationally.

I emailed [email protected] (Head of Customer Service) and told them that I had been affected by the VAT blunder, gave details of the amount due back and my account number.

Within 24hours I had a call to say that my refund was on file due to be made. I am now being sent a cheque for £19.99. Not a major amount but win win all the same.

I will keep all correspondence made between myself and EE in case the cheque doesn't arrive.

Keep calm, remain polite and you will receive.

    Good luck all.

Following my previous comment , I e mailed Francoise as advised (three times now) and no reply, phone call or refund.

Not sure where to go now, phone calls are still being cut off after a 10 minute wait, expect they are trying to make the money back.
