a branch is not important to me, i have about 6 different banks in my town, i bank with them all (for perks) 5 of them could close down for all i care, if i ever needed to deposit cash id put it in the last remaining bank and use faster payments to put it one of the closed branch accounts.
yb has just posted details of £750 worth of free money... and ive already had a large slice of that free money.
ive also just had to buy a bigger wallet with more pockets for all the cards i have.0 -

I hope you aren't seriously carrying all your cards for all your accounts with you all the time?0 -

when i leave the house i do, cant risk fire or theft, then the nightmare of having to ring nearly every main bank in the country to stop cards etc etc, not to mention the credit cards with nearly every uk provider i hold.0 -

I'd say there's more chance of you having to do that by carrying them all.0 -

What happens if your wallet gets nicked? What happens if you lose your wallet? You then have the nightmare of having to ring nearly every main bank in the country to stop cards etc etc
FWIW, I have all my cards scanned and stored, together with phone numbers of banks, in an encrypted document on a secure cloud space* so if any get nicked / lost / nuked, I know all the numbers.
I also keep all the cards that I don't use regularly in a locked safe at home, alongside other stuff that we can't afford to lose (passports, birth and marriage certs, wills etc).
*some smart cookie will now probably pop along and say there is no such thing - but I am happy my data is secure0 -
i did think about getting a safe, but if a theif spotted it i suspect they would go to my tool box, or get my angle grinder and would make this the main target of there burglary, id rather loose the items my self then a low life scroat leave my house with 80ks worth of current account and credit cards.0
