Put it about locally (pubs/chip shop/school etc) that she has a last minute cheap holiday to sell at a bargain price - name change fee included.
At least she'll get something back if anyone can drop everything and go.
That way both parties will be happy.0 -

I prefer to take a more benevolent view but I did use the word 'curt' as a euphemism for the rudeness you describe. Maybe I was too subtle for you.
I'm fortunate in that I travel frequently so it's well worth an annual policy for me so I don't need to worry about not being insured.0
